The Paul Bangalore - A Luxurious Home Away From Home We stayed at The Paul, Bangalore for 3 nights from 15th July 2010 to 18th July 2010. Bangalore was our last destination after visiting Coorg and Mysore. The Paul is located in a residential area (quiet and peaceful) in Domlur, just opposite to the Dell Office. It is 6 kms away (20 mins drive) from M.G. Road. The Paul is a small 5 Star all suite luxury hotel. When we entered their grand lobby, we were welcomed and greeted by their courteous staff with a broad smile. The check-in was instant and didn’t take more than 2 minutes. They upgraded us to the executive suite which had 2 bedrooms, a living room with a small dining table, a well stocked mini bar, 2 washrooms, a powder bathroom, a dry kitchen area and an amazing patio. The suite was very well furnished (very contemporary), with individual temperature control in every room, which bought a smile on my wife’s face. The washrooms are small but very clean, modern and have a shower cubicle with spa jets and rain shower (amazing pressure of water) with temperature control. They were always well stocked with great toiletries. All the rooms have huge LCD screens and are totally sound proof. The house keeping of this property get an A+ from me, as the rooms were spic and span every time we entered the room after a long day. Every thing was on its place. The stock of kitchen essentials (coffee, tea, sugar, etc.) was always maintained as well as the toiletries in the wash rooms. They made sure that the ice bucket was filled every evening without even asking them. Well, this is a classic example of well trained house keeping. The food at The Paul is extra ordinary. It gets 10 on 10 from me. Chef Ashwin Kotian is an expert and is very experienced. He is a gem of the organisation. He also has great knowledge of different cuisines and restaurants all over the world. We had a 4 course meal prepared by him. To be honest, I have become a fan of his cooking (excellent Italian food), a must have if you are in Bangalore. The breakfast buffet served was sumptuous and delicious too. Currently, they have only 1 restaurant ‘The Sidewalk’ which serves as a coffee shop too. When I suggested that they should have more, I was told that 3 new restaurants were coming up on the 4th level. The Paul has a gym, steam and sauna rooms and a swimming pool. The staff here too is very friendly, alert and helpful. The only thing I disliked was that every time I wanted to take a dip in the pool after the steam session, I had to pass through the gym, making the floor wet. They should have a separate entry from the steam and sauna rooms to the pool. Secondly, since the pool is a part of health centre, you cannot order food and drinks there. The staff at the reception, bell desk and security are also extremely helpful and always on their toes. Mr. Patrick in particular was very helpful to arrange for a cab when our pre-booked cab failed to come on time. He also gave us several suggestions and solved our queries regarding the city. To sum up, The Paul is one of the best luxurious properties in Bangalore. I will definitely stay here on my next visit. Cheers to Mr. Neil, The GM of this property.

I liked pretty much everything, services, facilities, food, room and specially the staff since they are always smiling and prompt to help. Compliment to Ramees from room services who more than to do very good its job showed to be concerned with the guest.

My brother in law was getting married in Dec so we had family flying in from all over the world to visit. The reservation team, spl mention to Megha and their amazing GM Mr Shelley, and the staff in general made our guests feel so comfortable and at home by going above and beyond their call of duty. Each guest who left had amazing things to say about their rooms, the Food and ofcourse the amazing staff at the hotel. The D'Cruz family is truly appreciative of all your love and support that each one of you extended to us and our family visiting. Amazing job guys and Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.

Stayed here just for a night, was given a suite. Excellent central lobby and good quality food for breakfast. The staff were friendly and supported well with getting my luggage around and also weighing the same for a pre-flight check.

On my third or fourth stay in this hotel - I continue to be impressed by the hotel. We stayed as family in a 2 bedroom suite + a one bedroom. the 2 bedroom suite is as spacious as a 2 bedroom apartment and well appointed. All wooden flooring and wooden furniture and finishing gives it a kerala style house feel albeit with modern touch. Very comfortable rooms. Even the one bedroom unit is comfortable. All rooms come with a living sitting are with separate TV and a pantry counter with Wines too on the mini bar. Excellent breakfast - as always The Paul continue to impress with the food quality and service. Spread is decent and variety is good. - They always have a few Kerala style dishes on the menu. The waffles too were well made to order. Great service too I doubt I can find another hotel with such spacious rooms at this price.

I stay regularly at The Paul and rate it highly. Very comfortable and spotless rooms and beds and pretty good facilities. My only frustration is the lack of flexibility to be able to choose food from across their 5 or so eateries in different locations. If you want grilled meats you have to go to restaurant a) as opposed to being able, for example, to order them from the bar. Other than that - thoroughly recommened
