I've stayed at many hotels in Bengaluru. Some excellent and others average. The Ritz was above average but not excellent. My issues were with the inconsistencies I experienced over a 12-day stay. I was told at check in that I didn't have enough status for the executive lounge (even though I was Marriott Platinum) so maybe the staff didn't believe I was platinum or they were trying to get an upcharge but at least the duty manager next day fixed the issue. I would find that my room would be missing a random towel or soap after room service. Some days a hand towel was missing, one day a bath mat, another day I'd have one towel with a hole in it (and that was the only towel that day). And then I would be missing a shampoo for the shower and the next day have five. I hope it was a housekeeping game, but it was probably a lack of attention to detail. Nothing show stopping bad with the hotel, but just the kind of things that take a hotel from 5 stars to four stars. The hotel was clean, rooms were nice, and the style in the general areas was excellent. I'm staying at another Marriott location in Bengaluru on my next trip because I think Marriott has great properties in India, but I wouldn't go out of my way (and deal the the traffic) to stay at the Ritz if another comparable hotel is available closer to my place of business.

My family have chosen to spend our holidays and frequent trips to Bangalore at the Ritz Carlton. This was no special occasion but we had just traveled back from the USA. We indulged in the weekend package which included spa treatments and breakfast. As with any Ritz Carlton, the Club level is the place to be. Expert service, decadent food, and warm hospitality is the normal here. For our baby, they brought him the kids tent and some toys! He was over the moon playing during our time which is helpful when traveling with an infant. Guest relations always takes care of us. The spa facilities with the plunge pool is so relaxing, bring your swim costumes and indulge! The Market provides a wonderful buffet but also the Club Level breakfast chef is always preparing a la carte breakfast. I know I'm leaving out something but just know this is a beautiful property with caring individuals who will make your stay like home. Amenities we enjoy include: Spa with Plunge Pool and saunas The Market is superb Riwaz for dinner is a must try. Outdoor pool for relaxing Piano tea time Wonderful taxi/valet services Club Level is spot on always, 5x food presentations daily Concierge and Guest relations is helpful with navigating the hotel or the city Housekeeping is reliable and thorough Rooms are big and clean, comfy beds and linens Big thanks to all of the RCB family! We will see you all soon!

I had been traveling for two day and I wanted to have a special lunch with my wife. So we stopped into the Hotel because we had heard that the hotel has this amazing place to eat. My wife being Chinese made it even more important because she wanted Dim-sum. We went in early 10am and asked the hotel manager when would they open. He said 11am on Sunday. We said great we will wait in the lobby and then go over at around 11am. When it was 10:55 we walked to the Lantern restaurant to eat. But when we arrived two people working said they are not open until 12 noon. We said the hotel manager said it was open at 11. They said no looking at there watches like we are two crazy people! We had not had food for 14 hours plus we waited another hour for it to open, so at this point I was not in a good mood and asked them to call the hotel manager as it was a long walk back. They refused to call him. So I walked all the way back across the hotel back to the lobby and told the manager what was said. He said again they open at 11 I said they wouldn't let us in and they said they open at 12, please call them and check. He called them then said please sit and have some cake! I was so upset at this point I don't want cake I want food and you can't tell me if the place is open or not. He said please sit down and wait I said I have been waiting an hour I don't want to sit anymore. He didn't move from his desk to call anyone else. I was very confused by the service at this hotel. It's a 5 star Ritz Carlton not an Indian hotel!! Being a member I'm even more pissed off then normal as I've spent a lot of money staying at there hotels. At the end we had to leave and go to another place to eat. So my advice don't trust the managers at this hotel only ask the people working at the restaurants at this hotel any questions as they seem to be running the place! Managers at this hotel are very lazy and not helpful at all.

The cake shop at the Ritz Carlton has the best cup cakes i have tasted in a long time. My kids fav are the ones with the lemon cream and the chocolate cream. Great value for money although it is a luxury cake shop.

I have stayed at the Ritz Carlton a number of times and it has always been a pleasant experience. They are quick to respond to any issue or concern and the staff are always very attentive, nothing is too much trouble.
