1.hotel staff very unresponsive. 2.had to shift to another of their group hotels since they didn't have vacant rooms(i just don't understand what does "pre-booking" mean to these hotels) 3.the other hotel in which we were forced to shift had bed-bugs which is so unacceptable as far as staying in a hotel is concerned or when you just relate yourself to a satisfactory sleep as well. 4.i am very disappointed with this hotel and TRAVELGURU as well. 5.i definitely want some compensation for this treatment

First we didnot get the room we booked. We didnot get the room in the booked hotel. They sent us to another hotel because they already given booked room to others. We booked family suit, but they provided double bed room with one extra bed. TV not working in the room

The staff made me wait for 1/2 hour asked me to call up travel guru to confirm my booking .It seems they had not recd any intimation from TG.

I had the worst embarrassment in my life as the person in charge of UG Grand hotel denied me admission stating that I need to carry more luggages. I had to go to another hotel and lost my booking money also. Very rude behaviour by him and he doesn't like that I booked on line may be because he lose some money in hand. I request travel guru not to recommend this hotel to any other customer.

Very Bad Experience. This hotel is not worth staying. Blankets and pillow covers are in very bad condition. I doubt if they were washed. AC is just for name sake, it took whole night to cool the room. Buckets, dustbin are very dirty. Behaviour of staff is horrible. They demand for the hardcopy of the Travelguru voucher at 5 AM, no where in the TravelGurus rules it is mentioned about the hardcopy. Over all its a very very bad experience. I really wonder WHY and HOW TravelGuru awarded this hotel as Star Performer. Wheb the staff got to know that we booked online via TravelGuru, he started treating us as if we are going to stay at free of cost and he says that we should not have booked through TravelGuru and we should approach them directly. Unaware that we can extend our stay from TravelGuru we directly approached the hotel people and they charged more than wat has to be charged. I suggest not to choose this Again... If this continues I doubt if we should use TravelGuru at all....

UG grand is worst hotel in Bangalore ever have seen Staff behavior is unprofessional , staff don't know how to deal with customer Room condition is worst and even water not available in bathroom and also drinking water & towel not provided by hotel staff even after asking. When I complaint regarding all these problems then hotel staff replied as " hmare pass guest ki kami nhi h "

Very poor hotel. Rats in room. Dirty bedsheets.. AC functional but not effective. TV present but doesnt work. Falling paint. Only advantage is 2 minutes walk from bus stop. The receptionist was rude. Entirely confused with a set of IDs that did not resemble local IDs. Didnt even provide bill.

Budget hotel near Majestic for all purpose visit. This hotel is situated near the heart of the city. No Restaurent Rooms are small, congested but clean. Hot water is available only in the morning hours.

I stayed in the hotel for five nights because I didn't have any other choice. I had a triple bed room on the top most floor, which can be considered as large and good. The toilets are marginally clean. The hotel staffs were extremely lazy, unhelpful and rude too. The provided blankets were torn, foul smelling and dirty. If something jumps onto you when you are fast asleep, don't panic, it's just big rats. You may have to pass nights without a drop of water in the bathroom. Don't request the hotel staffs for anything (changing bedsheets, blankets, asking for water in the bathroom) because you will only get improper excuses in response. Don't get irritated if the staffs tells you to leave the hotel. It's very common.

It was really bad experience.The staff were pathetic.The staff doesn't know how to behave with the customers.They were very rude.Rooms were dirty. Bed sheets were bad and mattress were kind of and couldn't sleep properly.Will never stay at that hotel gain.

Demo Trip Book this hotel for cheap or budget rooms if accommodation is needed near The Majestic or Railway Station & don't expect much. Book online if possible. They also have UG Royal Hotel nearby.

Demo Trip better reserve through online sites like agoda or makemytrip for assured availability. stayed on two different floor/room on different dates in june 2013 ; no great difference.
