A striking and large art deco building, for which the upkeep must be a nightmare! I loved the decor, but I have to say the place does look a bit tired and could probably do with some serious money spending on it. Our room was huge - biggest hotel room I've stayed in. One couple on our tour had an even bigger room. Conversely, I saw a single room which looked a bit poky. The decor and furnishings are definitely of a bygone era but that didn't bother me as they were in keeping with the character of the place. Room was comfortable and quiet (apart from pigeons on the window sill outside grrrr). Staff were courteous and attentive, and I thought the breakfast was really good. There were 13 of us including the guide, and it did feel like we were rattling around in there. Location is about 2 miles north east of the centre of Bikaner. Definitely not walkable but no issue for us as we had a tour bus to ferry us around. One downside was that the wifi was unreliable - I'm not sure this was the hotel's fault.
