Hotel Bodhgaya Regency is a huge property in comparison to most properties around this place. The USP is the proximity to the main Bodhgaya temple which is around 1-1.5 kms walk from the hotel. The restaurant serves good food and service is decent. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Sleep quality is excellent. Bathrooms are huge and have bath tubs. There is no wi fi in the rooms, however, its available in the lobby area. Its free for the guests staying here. The hotel receives a lot of foreign tourists especially from Thailand, Japan and other Buddhist dominated countries.

A big hotel with ample parking place. Reception counter staff are good and helpful. They were able arrange the priest for pindadhan. The rooms are spacious so also the bathroom. Well maintained and kept. The restaurant was also good.

I visited in 2016 sep with my group Rooms are very nice big and with all modern facilities.Staff are very friendly.Free wifi.Food is also good with varities.Walking distance from 80 ft buddha and mahabodhi temple.

I stayed in Hotel every year that I have been visited Bodhgaya, I came there with the group!! The room is big and enough for facilities that standard hotel, Breakfast not bad but not good, by the way all staff helpful and nice.

Hotel condition in general needs to be renovated, especially restroom and water supply. I felt really bad to leave the water running just to wait for hot water. It is because when you walked outside and saw very poor people without food nor water, you felt ashamed to leave the water wasting. Tip: Boil the water in the kettle provided in the room and mix with cold water in the bucket inside the restroom. It helps. In winter, if your room doesn't have a heater machine, please ask from the hotel. In summer, I don't think the air-conditioned in the room works well. It looks old and quite dirty. Rooms are not sound-proof. You hear every conversation, animal's sounds and of course car/motorbike honking sound. Local food is good here. Our group was recommended to eat at Sujata Hotel (nearby), but we find local food here is more delicious. Location is ok. There are a few shops selling snacks and drinking water. No nice coffee/teas place to hang.
