I stayed here 1 night and that was enough. I actually had a reservation at Rahul Guesthouse (see my review if interested) but due to a train schedule change I arrived one night early. Rahul was full so he suggested Hotel Shanti next door because it's only 600 rupee /night. The lady owner of Hotel Shanti tried to charge 1000 rupee but we managed to negotiate down to 800 rupee. The room was cramped and filled with mosquitos. A bed net would have been nice. The room looked like it hadn't been occupied in a while as it was dusty and there were dead mosquitoes all over the bed. I would not stay here again.

The staff were kind, and helpful. The rooms, and bathromms could have been a little bit cleaner, but it was still OK for us. We missed the toilet paper in our bathroom. We were really close (maximum 10 minute long walk to the centre). They sent cars for us the the Gaya Airport, which is also a nice gesture. We enjoyed staying there.

Hotel santi is situated in 5 minutes walking distance from the maha bodhi temple . Very clean quite & standerd quality rooms. The owner lives in the same building & treats guests as family. Very helpful and cooperative. Nice place to rest with family or friends and visit the temples by walk enjoying the whole of bodhogaya.

The hotel is noisy, very hard to rest properly. You can hear everything from your room, and in particular the cook active in the kitchen at 4:00 in the morning. Besides this, the location is correct as you can easily walk to most of the places you should see in Bodhgaya
