Went there to stay for the weekend and had an average experience. The rooms were old and haven't been upgraded for quite some time. We paid substantial amount for an AC deluxe room and it didn't live up to the standards for the rate charged. The shower wasn't working, the paint was coming off at many places, the bathroom was dirty and the towels seemed to be old. However, the service and the food were outstanding. The staff were very pilote and punctual with their service. We had all our meals at the resort and the food was outstanding every time. If it wasn't for the food and service, I would have rated it 1.

Dear Mr S.Roy Gautambabu and all the family members of my second home bapida, ganesh , jayanta, krishanu , chandan and lady army brigade of housekeeping I Suman Chakraborty with my mother stayed in the chhuti resort on cottage number 11 Krishnakoli like last year from 1st August , 2016-5th August 2016 . The wellness felling started when I booked the cottage and then when we arrived at bolpur station on 1st august the Car for pick up was ready and with in 10 minutes reached our second home and greeted by the inner smile and gratitude by Gautam babu and other staff the check in process is very quick and we guided to our cottage Krishnokoli by well charmed Ganesh whose smile is like white flower with fragrance after getting our luggage placed and refreshing the lunch time and then started the magic journey of bapida and his teams food I really world less to describe the taste of food , quality of food, presentation of food and timeliness..it can beat any renowned world food outlets. The stay at my second home was like a poem as me and my mother was so overwhelmed with the cleanliness, well managed inter area that we never get outside the the resort during our stay , the rain the sound of winds .long story I and my mother really appreciate and convey our heartiest gratitude to all the members and my mother have tears when we are leaving on 5th august again the car was at time and we reached home safely yesterday. From today again the day counting starts to check in again at my second home.

A quiet and peaceful resort in a very secluded place. It is a small resort and finding it for the first time can be a little difficult. Close to all there is to see in the small town of Shantiniketan and you can get everywhere without having to go through the crowded parts of town.The rooms could do with a bit of sprucing up and some cleaning. What makes the place is the staff - particularly the women who do the housekeeping and double up as kitchen staff. The waiter in the dining room has a huge smile - particularly if you call him "Tiger". However, the person who really made our trip was the chef - Bapi Samanta - superb dinner and breakfast. Please make some time to talk to him and ask for his suggestions - he even cooked us Bengali dishes that we wanted and were not on the standard menu. Easily the best food in town.

Stayed here for a night (25 Feb). Terrible room- geyser didn't work (didn't get repaired either), seepage everywhere, lizards, mould on the ceiling, smelly bedding and expensive food were the highlights of our stay. The staff is clueless when told of these things. Food needs to be pre ordered and takes and hour, if you want hot water from your geyser you need to inform them in advance and then it takes half an hour for them to turn on the geyser from a centralised mechanism and the water to heat up. Food is expensive and very limited. Costa Rupees 3750 for a 'deluxe' room and rupees 2762 for 'standard' room- negligible difference between the two. Not worth the price. The Airconditioning is really old and ineffective. The television does not have any English channels. Tiny triangular shaped dirty toilet.

Finding an accommodation in Santiniketan during Poush Utsav is a difficult task. When we booked Chhuti for our recent trip ( 22/12/2015 to 25/12/2015) we did not have much clue about the hotel except what is in their website. Having no prior expectation, the resort provided a pleasant surprise. Quaint little cottages in an urban landscape, Chhuti resort a nice getaway. The food is amazing, thanks to Chef Bapi Samanta and his excellent team. Service is very friendly. Rooms are basic without any frills but cosy and comfortable. What could be a little improved upon are the bathrooms- both ensuite and the one attached to the restaurant. Some reading material - map, information etc.- on Santiniketan at the reception would be useful to the guests. Overall, a nice experience.

Demo Trip All the rooms are well kept. There are A/C as well as non-A/C rooms. A/C rooms have higher charges and should be booked during the summer time. Non-A/C rooms will suffice from the end of October onward till end of February.
