An average hotel to stay with, but let me tell you that if you are check in to the hotel with huge expectation then friends your staying ecperience will b really difficult. Worst parts that I had experienced are - no lift although its was a 4/5 floor hotel (i forgot actual no) - no intercom/room service dial in telephone no, neither has fllor boys to attend guests in each floor. So, to ask for anything every time you will have to climb down to the ground floor....worst n painful experience with me -food price was medium, but very bad food n not properly cooked and veg were not properly washed b4 cooking and so the veg dish was full of sand -nothing is complementary to the room, not even a single bottle of water...neither water id readily available to b ordered -people are unskilled, unprofessional, uneducated and so wat will be the your experience with them you can imagine....and that too in a hill station !!! - But it should be a safe place to be stay with and hope are maintaining same basic level of cleanliness in all the rooms that I had experienced in my room But, still stay recommended to this hotel if you are a very budget traveller and is rrady to compromise with the above points....its a just avg hotel
It was on our journey back from Tawang to Kaziranga, we had a night here. Had taken two rooms.Initially got surprised as front grill was closed and no one nearby.Called the management and immediately they send people to attend.Hotel is on road side with steps to climb, but staff was available to take luggage. Hotel was undergoing changes in interior and it was the management staff who was preparing food also. One of the room on corner was big comparing other. They have parking space and provides accommodation to driver also. Manager provided us with his number to call for any service. Food was average.
I went to seagull, Bomdila in July with my husband during our visit to Tawang. Our stay there, was very unsatisfactory to say the least. The unpleasant experience started right at the entry. Its entry at the main road was all muddy. And the staff couldnt be bothered about cleaning it up. We had to jump puddles with heavy bags to reach the main door. And height was that one of the staff members was standing right there with a blank face and didnt even offer a helping hand with the luggage. This was my 1st such experience. I mean HOSPITALITY is not just name of the sector!! You need to show some to your guests. Then the phone in our room was not working, we asked the person there to switch it on. He mumbled that he would, but still nothing. Everytime we needed something we had to troop down the stairs to reception. And surprise!!!!! No one was ever there and we had to roam shouting through the building to get someone. Cleanliness was nowhere. They gave us stained bedsheets and towel!! While coming back from Tawang we checked in at around 1:30 pm and intended to have lunch at the hotel. We asked the person who called himself the manager of the damn place and he said only chawal, dal and a sabzi will be available. We said all right serve us that only as we were tired after travelling 8hrs and did not feel like going out. After 1hr we inquired about the status of our lunch. He said its under preparation. Same answer after another half hour. It was 3:30pm by now. To top it all, all the staff including this manager were drunk and getting more so with time. Seemed like they were busy with it instead of doing anything about our lunch! I lost my patience and said he can just scrap the order. Finally we had our lunch in the market area at 4:30pm. You should consider this hotel for your stay only if all you need is a room and nothing else. The staffs are un-cooperative in the extreme.
i was traveling from kaziranga national park to tawang and had to break journey at bomdila. so i stayed at the hotel seagull. it is a small hotel ,just on the main road side, near the bomdila petrol pump. i did not expect much from the hotel, but i was surprised. it was very cold in the evening. the deluxe room( very recently added) was beyond expectation, really good at that place.. the bathroom was clean and hot water was available. we ordered food and were provided freshly made and hot , at 10.00 p.m.it was really tasty.the manager of the hotel, acting all in one , was a great guy. the hotel has a four car park at the back side.they provided sleeping place for the driver also. next day morning we left early, with out breakfast. it is a good property ,just to stay one night on way ahead.
You have a very few hotels in Bomdila, the rooms are clean and maintained, the staff is friendly and will walk the extra mile especially when you need food, we also met the owner Tenzing who did shared a lot about their culture
