Super charming haveli in Bundi Super charming haveli in Bundi

by jacoco-milano on February 9, 2017

Probably the best place to stay in Bundi. The haveli is beautifully decorated, well maintained and super charming. The breakfast room and the interiors are something not to be missed. The staff is helpful and nice. Super recommended!

Historic and comfortable Historic and comfortable

The Haveli has been restored and is both beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in the section that is 300 years old. There are comfy places to sit in the open courtyard or porches. It is also close to the palace so a visit there is easy. Be sure to also go to the sukh Mahalo with a bigger lake than the one in town. Very peaceful.

Great Great

Great location, Quiet(for India), really cool historical building/rooms, friendly staff. Located right by the palace and fort. Walkable location. Rooftop views of town and fort. Great for monkey watching.

overpriced overpriced

by nigeltoft on January 25, 2017

though the Braj Bhushanjee does have a sense of history and atmosphere i found it be very overpriced for the standard of comfort and service on offer . On arrival i asked about room categories and was offered an upgrade to a " Palace Suite " at an extra cost of 6,000 indian rupees for 2 nights (though 6,753 rps was charged to my debit card )-- and was shown a large room ,well furnished with a view of the palace and accepted this...but basically you are paying for just the view --. it was certainly not worth the extra charge however .. the bed was two single beds pushed together --but made up singly -not comfortable at all with heavy blankets -- the bathroom had just a couple of sachets of cheap shampoo and thin towels ..OK in a budget hotel -- but certainly not at these prices ,The food is also very overpriced ..!!.. i found the owner to be unpleasant and completely charmless .!! There are certainly much more comfortable and better priced places in Bundi .. i was shown two of them..!! i travel a great deal and rarely write a bad review -- but although i will certainly return to Bundi ..... i will not return to this hotel .

Very expensive for what you are getting Very expensive for what you are getting

by thefoodchannel on January 13, 2017

Don't get me wrong. The place is very nice and has some sort of charme. You can tell that every single in the rooms is there for a reason. The room where we stayed were spacious and clean. But if you are in the most expensive hotel in Bundi ( everyone knows this and you will see locals actually laughing as soon as they get to know where you are staying ) first you want a real comfy bed with a nice blanket ( not the ones they are selling in the middle of the roads ) then you want a Wifii that actually works!!!! And finally you would like a place where the food is nice and tasty and the price of it is considers the place where you are staying. You are not in a five stars Bundi you dont need that..but then this place should be more "honest". The owner is a very lovely person and all the staff as well..they just need to reconsider a little bit those few things.
