If you are looking for Neat, clean, peaceful Budget Hotel, then Oakwood is the one. We stayed in Oakwood's Super Deluxe room. This hotel is on high altitude near to Chail Market (1 Km away). Our room was at 3rd floor. There was one bed & one child bed also available. Bathroom is also spacious & have hot water supply. Kitchen has limited supply, but don't try anything special, just go for Parantha & tea. Rest try in Chail market. This property has got very good Sunset view from the windows, thats the USP of this hotel.Overall this property is good among budget hotel & I can say in Chail. Deltas - Don't expect much on fun side, as there is no activity space available in this hotel. Secondly, outside of this hotel is quite dark in night time. So, u feel little aloof staying here. Also this is pure Veg & No drinks allowed. Room service & food is limited, only one person helping you. Rest in the price they charge, this Hotel worth staying.

one of the worst experience....I have booked hotel online and got confirmation message along-with mail. while we have reached there owner and his employee has refused for any booking of room. Moreover they have straightway replied non availability of any room in their hotel. Hotel staff and owner behaved in such a rude tone like I did any crime by booking hotel thru online portal. I got more surprised when he has offered room to another guest who reached at hotel while we were moving out of his premises. ...... guys never ever think staying over there....Thanks to make my trip(hetal) who arranged alternative hotel stay arrangements at odd hour otherwise could have stayed in the car only.....really appreciate MMT service gesture offered ......DONT EVER THINK GOING TO HOTEL OAKWOOD

We went to Chail this weekend. Didn't pre-book any hotel. No rooms were available at hotels of our choice, thus ended up at this hotel. While I was parking the car, wife went inside to talk to the manager. I could here some noise coming from inside. I rushed inside and found out that the manager was talking in a uncivil (this being an understatement) way. Don't remember his name. But he was on desk on Saturday 07th June 2014 (between 1pm - 3pm) This ticked me off a lot and we left the place after giving them a session on Hospitality 101. This particular manager was talking to his staff and guests/possible guest alike. Imagine a scene from old hindi movies, where a money lender is talking (read shouting on) to people who owe him money. I would urge the hotel management to do something about the above manager and train him to talk like civilized people. Other staff member were alright.
