Luxurious stay at economical price.. Luxurious stay at economical price..

by Abhijit P on January 5, 2017

Though our stay was brief at this hotel, we were highly impressed by the neatness, service. Behavior of hotel staffs were very courteous and they were very organised. The food delivered from their in-house restaurant were tasty and reasonable. I cant think of going anywhere else in Chennai but here be it a business trip or a quick leisure one.

Economy stay near railway stations Economy stay near railway stations

by Frinson on December 10, 2016

Economic option in the vicinity of railway stations. It is near chennai central as well as egmore. On the main road if it's easy to reach to and has good facilities. They charge extra for early check in so please keep that in mind while planning stay. There are parking facilities at the hotel. Railway line is situated very near the hotel so would be best to avoid the hotel if your address a very light sleeper. We found the noise negligable but others might not. There is restaurant in the hotel which serves good food.

A little oasis in an otherwise rundown part of town A little oasis in an otherwise rundown part of town

by kalpu28 on December 7, 2016

This place is close to the Chennai Central railway station, but getting there by walk is anything but tedious and in some instances outright dangerous. We choose to walk as this was recommended by the Hotel staff. As soon as you get out of the railway station you need to take an overbridge just in from of the Chennai Suburban Train terminus. This crosses over the extremely busy Poonamallee high road and leaves you on the westbound lane of the road. From there you need to walk westbound for about 10min to reach this place. There are no sidewalks meaning you need to pretty much walk on the road with the flowing westbound traffic behind you! There were road works going on when we visited and sections of the road close to the shoulder were dugout. This made it outright dangerous as we had to walk pretty much in the line of the chaotic traffic. We were really relieved that we made it to this place. The hotel itself is pretty good. The girl at the front desk was helpful and cordial. You're asked to fill in a check-in form with your details and produce a piece of identification. Once we were through with this we were whisked to out room. We stayed in room 215 and my first impressions of the room was it very much needed a paint job. The ceiling looked a bit rustic and old. But other than that the room provided was neat and tidy. So was the bathroom. What impressed me the most was the force of the water through the shower and taps. This was not a road facing room but it does face the suburban train tracks. The noise from the rumbling of the trains still filters through into the room. Its not loud but its still audible. When your in the bathroom and have north and south bound trains crisscrossing outside, you can feel the sink vibrate. Its not that much as to unsettle you. The air-conditioning in the room is pretty solid and believe me for a city like Chennai this is a godsend. The WiFi in this room does not work. This was my biggest downside in this room. We had to walk outside into the lobby in order to get connectivity. There was also a little puddle of water formed outside the room when we were using the A/C inside. This probably is a drip-drip from the overhead a/c plumbing. At night sometimes mosquitoes get into the room. Mosquito repellent is not a standard in the room. We had to call room service to provide us with one. We tried the restaurant downstairs for our lunch & dinner. Must say its very good. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. The service was spot-on and that's what impressed me the most. The complementary breakfast provided at the same place the next morning was also good, although its really surprising that their continental buffet does not serve orange juice. They give you other flavors but believe me they no good. The other thing its lacks in the mornings is a coffee machine. You'll have to pass on your request for coffee to the staff and wait for a good deal to get yours. For a guy like me who is addicted to morning caffeine it was a bit tortuous. Also the quantity of coffee provided is small. But still I would recommend the restaurant. On the whole I would say that this place is a good value for the money that you spend. Visited and stayed in Nov 2016.

Great hotel, great price, awesome staff. Great hotel, great price, awesome staff.

by brettrapps on December 4, 2016

Stayed here for 5 days, and I had a great stay. The whole staff was great and very nice including the door man, the front desk, maids and even the restaurant staff. Speaking of the restaurant it was great, clean and very good food which made my stay easier because sometimes i didn't want to take the time to try and find a clean and safe restaurant to eat at when i woke up or when i got back late. The room was nice for the price and very clean. I'd definitely recommend it.

Excellent service, clean Hotel Excellent service, clean Hotel

by liangmoi on November 12, 2016

The hotel is located at city center, can go anywhere easily by Uber. The room is very clean, toilet is modern style, the hot shower is working very well. The buffet breakfast is simple and a bit costly, we order by menu, then is reasonable. The hotel wifi is excellent. We would recommend to all tourist.
