A great hotel to stay. The rooms have a nice decor. I was feeling quite dry and moisturiser present in the room was helpful. It has shopping malls too in the vicinity.

This is an extremely pleasant hotel with very polite and efficient staff. They provide breakfast in the hotel every day which was pretty good. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable with TV, with a nice shower in bathroom.

I had called up this hotel a few days back where there was a person named Mr. Daniel who picked up the call. I had called regarding to plan my vacation in the months of june-july where this person was very patient and kind in attending my call. He explained the facilities within the hotel. He also shared the history of Chennai and famous places in Chennai. We had a lengthy conversation and he didn't hesitate to answer my questions, he was very helpful. So I have decided if I come to Chennai, I will stay only at Marriott because of Daniel.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriot for one night mid February 2017. When we checked in, we were welcomed by a very friendly and welcoming receptionist (I unfortunately can't remember his name anymore) and we were pleased to hear that we got a free upgrade, which included access to the executive lounge and we got a large room (No. 812) as well. A portion of the hotel was under construction that day, and on the way from the elevator to the room, we immediately recognized a very intense and penetrant smell, and we were not sure if it came through the AC system or it was originating from the construction work. Later, we had a hard time to sleep because of the bad air in our room. We called the reception and could change to another room (No. 810) where the situation was much better. Breakfast was really excellent, mostly because they served fresh squeezed healthy juices. Afterwards, a hotel manager asked us about how our stay is, and we told him that we were not satisfied about the situation we had during the night. He immediately responded very professionally, and apologized for the unpleasant experience we had. I would like to positively highlight this way of excellent reaction. Once we expressed how we felt, there was no sense of defense, but a true desire to serve and makes things right in a way, we never experienced to such a degree in many other hotels. From all the staff members, I would like to mention a very friendly and engaged employee named Vignesh, who was very friendly and helpful, making and serving us many amazing fresh juices. Overall, if we would not have had the issues with the bad smell because of the construction, our stay would have been excellent and we still would return and can totally recommend this hotel.

Dasan (the barista), Shivashankar (room service) and All staff at the lobby and restaurant are friendly. The security staff has been been alert in their job. Location is also very good except for MRT projects.

I only had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for 5 hours between flight connections so patience was low as the hotel taxi arrived late for airport pickup and again late for early morning pickup back to airport. Other than those mishaps, the hotel is clean and a decent place to stay, personally, I would stay closer to airport if transiting or another hotel if visiting the city next time.
