Actually the room was not spacious enought for three of us because of which the room was only average. Food was average.

This Feedback is both for the hotel and Travel guru. I had booked a room for stay from Dec 18 to 19 through travelguru website. But when I reached the hotel on Dec 18th at 6 AM...very very tired after a long and grueling journey, the hotel receptionist ( a young boy probably lot older that 16 or 17 years) flatly refused me a room saying that "They allot room booked through portals only 12 noon to 12 noon check in/check out".....THIS IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT TRAVELGURU WEBSITE CLEARLY MENTIONED THE HOTEL HAVING A 24 HOURS CHECK-IN/CHECK OUT POLICY !! I tried reasoning with that lad and tried calling the customet service number on Travelguru and quite obviously the number did not respond as it was 6 AM. It seems they are operational only between 9.30 AM to 6 PM !! I cannot imagine a travel service operating like a govt office !!! What use is that number for people who arrive either late or early in the morning if they cant be helped. Later in the day when I called Travel guru ...THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ME THE MONEY SAYING ITS NOT THEIR FAULT !! Here is the link to their website which clearly says 24 hours check-in !! Either I get a full refund for my booking or I have no option but to take it to a consumer forum. Not to mention the mental harassment I faced looking for an alternate hotel at 6 AM in a unfamiliar city.......

Bed Bugs Bed Bugs

BED BUGS. I stayed here for two nights. After the first night I woke up with bed bug bites all over my arm. I informed the manager and he changed our room from 402 to 102. When I got in the second room, there were blood stains on the pillow and a dead bed bug on the bed (see photos). Again I notified the manager and he said he would take care of it. A little later room attendants came to the room and changed the sheets. Obviously merely changing the sheets is insufficient to get rid the bed of bed bugs, something a hotel manager should know but apparently not this one. I was sick so we decided to tough it out one more night. Wrong decision, I woke up the second morning with even more bites. To make matters worse, when I informed the manager of the bed bugs after the first night, he agreed to launder all of our cloths that were exposed to the bed bugs. However when we were checking out he tried to charge me for the laundry. I highly encourage anyone considering this hotel to look elsewhere.

We were on budget trip and had booked room 2 days before. Hotel is recently renovated therefore ambience was good. The breakfast doesn't have lot if options. Good enough for budget expectations. The restaurant was always empty. Never tried food. In heart of city lot if other good food options available near by. One bad experience. Morning 10 am on second day reception calls and ask to vacate the room as entire floor is blocked for some guest. It was little annoying. We disagreed so after 5 min again call comes saying water will not be available on floor later. So we agreed to vacate the room. Since it was unpleasant experience we vacated room one day early and headed to mahabalipuram

Loved many of the facilities like the ceiling shower in the bathroom and an actual full length mirror. Excellent hotel overall. Outstanding value for location as it is barely 350 metres from Chennai Egmore Railway Station.
