Hotel Aaditya located along Arcot road chennai is a good option for a short stay. Room maintainence was average. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful with our luggage. There was a private party going on late in the night which was very disturbing to the guests in the room. Despite repeated requests the hotel staff couldn't resolve the problem for us.Our overall experience with the hotel was average.

...I have been here before and cherish some great memories. But visited again yesterday and things haven't changed much. Dated decor, the quality of food was average and they took a very long time to serve. They need to improve quickly!
The rooms have adequate space and all the necessary furnitures including a mini refrigerator. The location is amazing with hospitals, malls, theatres and all the necessary services within walking distance. The price maybe debatable. But overall a good stay and good service.
It was an unplanned stay. Got a room which was spacious. Beds seems to be too old and very flat. Linen were neat. Room service takes time. For the price they charge, it should have been a better room and they should take care of it.
Stayed at this hotel in May 2015 for 1 night and 2 days. When I booked the room via e-mail confirmation the response was prompt followed by phone call from the booking team. I was assured that at the cost of an extra bed they would accommodate 3 people in a double-room. When we reached the hotel the reception staff was courteous and one of them accompanied us to help us get into the room. There was some problem with the key and the person had to struggle for a few minutes before he could get the door open. The room was very spacious and seemed well maintained. Once we settled, we decided to take a bath. The bathroom was average and could do with some renovation. There were not enough towels and we had to call the reception to ask for more. Waited more than 30mins and then called again. Finally the towels arrived some 40mins post our request. The staff who got them did not seem too happy to have been sent on the errand. What was more surprising was that he then used the room telephone to call someone in the hotel and went on to have a verbal argument with the person on the line about the request for towels while we were in the room and could understand every word of what he was saying. When we left from the hotel, the reception staff promptly asked if the extra bed should be put in the room or if we wanted them to do it in the evening. I was very impressed by their pro-activeness and asked for the bed to be put in, in the evening. When we got back to the room at around 8pm, no extra bed had been put. I had to call the reception again about it and the bed arrived after 30-40mins. The next morning, all 3 of us headed to the restaurant to have the complimentary breakfast. When we sat at the table, the restaurant staff informed us that they would be charging breakfast for the extra person - this bit of information was never mentioned during booking. Since we had already started eating and I did not have the patience of having a conversation about it, we continued. Post breakfast I asked the reception about the Wi-fi connectivity as it was mentioned as facilities available on the hotel's website. I was then told that the Wi-fi was a paid service, which again is conveniently not mentioned on the hotel's site. The last straw was about the check-out time. When I booked the room and spoke to the hotel staff, I had very clearly mentioned that we would be needing the room till 4pm and if that would be a problem and they assured me that the hotel had a 24hour check-in/out policy and we could stay till 4pm. Luckily going by the experience of Wi-fi, I checked with the reception about the check-out time and was informed I would be charged another day's tariff if I extended beyond the 24hrs. I then had to argue about this not being informed during room booking and the reception staff then agreed to a 3 hour grace time which worked. The staff at the reception was quite courteous, but the overall management seemed slack. Oh and top it all, the power in the room was not working at all points which meant we had only one point to charge our phones, the TV did not work, and the wi-fi which I paid for was so slow and when I moved around the room the signal pretty much was zilch in many places in the room - which meant I had to stay stationary at certain places in the room to be able to access the wi-fi. I wouldn't recommend this place for anyone who is looking to experience the hotel service. The service is something you can put up with if you have work around the area and do not plan to spend a lot of time in the room....
Hotel Aadithya, my haven when staying in Vadapalani. This was my second stay and trust me they know how to maintain their standard. I was pleasantly surprised that the staff there still remembered me even after a 7 month gap. It was a wonderful experience and I am sure it is because of them my stay in Chennai was pleasant. Any room is fine as long as it on a slightly higher floor. This is just my liking to stay on higher floors!
