i think the hotel is under conversion to fortune group. so everything was not satisfactory for standards of 4 star property. but otherwise the property was really good and we enjoyed the stay.

Location is good but the cleanliness and hygiene was an issue. Also, the swimming pool was not accessible on any of the four days I stayed there due to maintenance. Food service is good but the menu can be expanded.

We were supposed to stay in this hotel in January 2014 for 2 days; however, we checked out the same night as we found bed bugs crawling on the bed. It is an old hotel with very poor maintenance and has a musty smell when one enters. When we entered our rooms we were met with a swarm of mosquitoes. Our rooms were changed but our problems continued. Some lights were not working, the water in the bathroom was not draining properly. But the worse was yet to come. We were settling down when we saw bed bugs on the bed. That was beyond our tolerance level and at 10.30 at night we checked out and moved into another hotel. So I would never recommend it to anyone.

I have stayed at this hotel on few business trip to Chennai. The location of the hotel is good and can walk down to client office. The hotel building is old but the rooms are spacious. Swimming pool is of no use and even the room service is not good. Breakfast is OK with both North/south Indian option along with french toast/egg etc.

Hotel is in nice place and rooms are nice and clean. But Pool is not maintained correctly, it will be out of maintenance everyday. Hotel maintenance is not good, they have to improve it. Restaurant is very very costly, not worth at all. Travel desk is very nice, they will help you a lot. PS: CARDS won't work here. They made me to get cash while check-out.

I was one of the last guests the receptionist told me so ..... They are closing to pull it down or make flats.The front office computer ,card machines were all not working, In case it is still open don't stay as they don't even have towels ,I was told i could check out if i wanted as towels would come after 2 days. AC only functions in night ,breakfast they don't have "toasts" also only upma and idli. Pity it was a perfect location in the middle of chennai,close to everything.
