Mediocre  hotel...!! Mediocre hotel...!!

It's average budget hotel, with no modern amenities, the receptionists were quite friendly, the ambience was not good, it is located in a congested stretch, but it is a ideal location for food lovers, the surrounding areas are full of multicusine restaurant, it is at the heart of the city, it's a budget friendly friendly hotel, the beds are okay not as excepted, the parking space is quite accomdative...!!!

Hotel is not for family and vacation. Photos are representative of actual and give very false impression. Lobby seems like a run down mill. Towels provided were smelly and musshy. Cigarette smoke for next rooms were irritating. Overall experience is poor.

The room shown in the Cleartrip Review was not the same as the one we were allotted. We had to pay 600 rupees extra to upgrade from Std AC Double to Delux AC Double. Also, the lack of room service miht be a deterrent, although they did offer to bring food from outside as ordered. And the location is such that if you step out you will find several eateries. We went to Firdous, which was good. Other than the above, the hotel enjoys the advantage of very ood location, very close to the Marina Beach. The bathroom was clean and had hot water on tap.

Hotel room was clean, shower was hot, bed was comfy, laundry service was fast (4 hours) and tv had cable. Location was good too - there are plenty of shops nearby and it's a short drive or 20 minute walk to the beach and Express Mall. Overall we thought this place was great value for money and would happily stay again!

We stayed at Hotel Himalaya for 3 nights in a non A/C room. Our room was clean and had cable TV which was great considering the price! We did have a few mosquitoes in our room upon arrival (pretty standard for most places in India!) Though the staff were quick to act and gave us mosquito coils to rectify. The staff are friendly and helpful. Asma was so lovely always had a smile on her face and gave us plenty of good recommendations on places to eat and visit. The location is good, plenty of food stalls and internet cafes you can walk to and a short tuk tuk ride to Express Avenue Mall or Marina Beach. Highly recommend :)
