A good budget class hotel , stayed for 3 nights with my family .one of the best locations for a shopholic guests, value for money, the staffs were saying that the renovated wing of the hotel are soon to open, hope they dont increase their prices..would be have been better i fthey have provided breakfast.
The hotel is OK for it's price. The room and bathroom were clean for Indian standards and the beds comfortable.
The breakfast choice is quite limited, but the food is good.
The staff is very slow... and that's the only negative I'll say about this hotel.
We ordered room service a few times, and the plates with the leftovers were still outside our door 36 hours later. By that time it was all smelly. We told the staff and the solution was to spray with air freshener in the hall, and still left the food remains there for a while longer...
Strategy place for shopping. Walking distance to Pothy's, Chennai Silk, Kumaran and Nalli's. For food, Anjappar restaurant is located just beside the hotel and it operates until 11pm daily.
A variety of other restaurants are also available in walking distance to try.
Hotel is not well maintained and wifi signal is moderate. The bathroom condition is 3 out of 5. The hot shower will not work at times. If you want to mix drinks, u can request boiling water from the reception. The air condition and television works perfectly fine. The hotel practices 24-hour check out which is very convenient in the event if you arrive early from a long distance.
The hotel does not provide breakfast. Even with Anjappar attached to the hotel, it is difficult to find breakfast at early hours, as most restaurants only open their business after 10am. You have a limited choice of Murugan Idli Shop and Saravana Bhavan opening as early as 7.30 am.
Staff at reception are friendly and helpful. If it's your first visit, do not hesitate to ask them for options, as they do provide almost accurate choices for shopping and facilities around the area.
Our flight back was during the early hours in the morning, and the staff helped us to arrange the airport transfer as well. (Travelling at any hour is convenient, but the transfer fee may differ based on the hours you are booking).
I booked a 2 bed room for 4 members. Room had enough space. There is limited facilities in the room. But nothing more could be expected from a budget hotel. I felt our room and attached bathroom is old.
It is at a very good location and pothys, Chennai silk, nalli silk Saree shops are in walking distance. Then we walked to Sri Krishna sweet shop (very popular shop for sweets), and grand also ( it took like 15 minutes to walk to Krishna sweets). So this place is good if you are interested in shopping. Also bus depot, train stain also close by.
They are having flexible checking and checkout time. We came to hotel around 1.30pm and we were able to checkout at next day 1.30pm. It's a very good thing.
No breakfast is included. Anjapar is next door. Also money exchangers and banks are in walking distance (just opposite the hotel).
Also, staff is very friendly. Specially Mr. Saravanan. I am giving excellent rating for the hotel because of the good service given by him thought there are only limited facilities in the hotel. He is very helpful.
They do not provide clothes iron or a kettle. But if we require, they provide boiling/hot water (even during night). May be its a practice in Chennai as I experienced same in another hotel. Also toilet paper is not given.
There is no chair in the room. Free paper is given to each room in the morning.
The management could do some renovation and uplift to rooms. E.g. our room's window had been cracked, it should have been fixed.
If you are interested in shopping then this is a good place to stay.
We are stayed in good atmosphere at hotel, ac, beds, toilets, hotwater all are good. Breakfast is very tasty, wifi also fast, nothing to
Point out bad. It is nearer to beach and also to reach business locations
