One of the best in the city with outstanding service and exceptional leadership by Front office Manager Mr. Karthik.V. I always enjoy my stay in this hotel. The dedication of the team headed by FOM is second to none. Duty Manager Prithvi was very charming and cordial.

This hotel is really a bit shabby especially the swimming pool area. There are tiles missing in the pool and I wouldn't go for a swim in fear of ending up cut. The restaurants are ok but I didn't eat my chicken one night because it was undercooked. 4 people came to see me and apologise which was a bit over the top and I felt totally embarrassed. They said they would take the chicken off the price of the bill which they did and I paid that but when I got home I've found that they have charged me twice one bill with the chicken and one bill without the chicken. I'm currently contesting this but not getting very far very quickly. Wine is stupidly expensive starting at about 40 a bottle. There was chaos at check out and even though I requested for the credit card transactions to go through in rupees, 1 went through in rupees and the other 2 were put through in sterling. My bank gave me an exchange rate of over 80 rupees and the hotel gave me an exchange rate of 77 rupees so be careful. Ignore the rudeness of our customers who barged in and confused the situation stay focused and make sure all the transactions are completed correctly. The rooms are large, the bed comfy, the shower works, the air conditioning works but its all a bit scruffy. Everything looks like it has seen better days. The best thing about this hotel is the club lounge and the lovely people in the lounge. We had a room off the atrium and it is noisy at night. Walls are also very thin and there was a party one night which kept us awake and a noisy man another night who we had to tell to turn his TV down at about 3 am.

We have just stayed at this hotel and it quite simply is not 5 star. We moved from the ITC Hotel where we were very happy but we had previously planned to move to the Hyatt due to the fact they advertised washer/dryer. After much travelling we needed to wash our clothes in a washing machine! It turned out the washer/dryer advertised was the sink in the bedroom and the hair dryer!!! During our needless stay we were constantly itchy with our skin being Irritated by dust. We asked for a deep clean for our bedroom but it didn't improve. You will see from the pics I was bitten extensively in my bed on the last night. Swimming pool was in poor repair as you can see! Plus points was the airport liaison manager and the staff at the front door and the beautiful lobby. I hate complaining but really was not happy at all. The pictures tell the story!! Beware!! Very pricey for a sub standard hotel.

nice rooms very courteous staff and location is centrally located. food at restaurants is very good. earliear we were staying at taj now shifted to hyatt since last three trips. worth trying out in Chennai and value for money.

spent a night at Hyatt Regency, Chennai. Airport experience itself was unpleasant though they are not responsible for it directly. check in was good. rooms well kept. room quite tranquil. breakfast experience was terrible, you are left in the hall and are on your own. lot of service staff roaming around but not looking at what customers are looking for, despite asking for services. looks to be lot trainees all around.
