I have booked a room in sea shore Inn(chennai) hotel through travel guru on 2nd Jan 2014. The reservation is for 4thJan2014-5thJan2014(one day accommodation). At the end of the credit card transaction, I saw the message on the page that transaction was not successfull due to some technical issues and room booking is not confirmed. I received a mail too informing me that room booking is not confirmed and the mail contained a link to complete the booking process. When I clicked the link, it led me to same booking page where I had to go through the entire booking process including the payment process. So, I decided against booking again and used another website to book my room. The next day (3rd Jan 2014)I received hotel (sea shore Inn) guys informing me that they have received a request from travel guru website also for booking the room. When I contacted the travel guru call center on 3rdJan2014, they told me that room booking is confirmed and the cancellation would only fetch me 150 rs. I told them I received a mail saying booking is not confirmed. Still they say booking is confirmed and they cant do anything about it. I have received the same mail on 4th Jan 2014 saying the same thing again that I tried to book a room and it is not confirmed. The call center person agreed that there is no mistake of mine and said he can not do anything about my refund of money. Why should I lose the money for issues with your website. If I dont get my money, I will go to consumer court.
