My First Experinence with Travel Guru itself was a disaster. Made a case study out of my experience and the worst customer care I ever experienced with Travel guru staff with Voice recordings to teach all our MBA students in Our College and is being circulated to other MBA schools as well. Is it the beginning of the downslide for Travel GURU ? Please note all downfall starts from the peak. Thanks for the worst service I ever experienced ever in the globe.
The Room was tidy, but there where cockroaches in every nook & corner,The A/c was not working properly I think the HOTEL people are providing this type of room if we book thru portal.

The Hotel is Past Prime with poor housekeeping. Room service is terribly poor. Only good thing is rooms are big in size, paints are old linens are not clean.
It is one of the most terrible hotels in Chennai. I had stayed there earlier and my earlier experience made me re book this hotel. On checking in first they put us in a smaller room.. on inquiring later they shifted to another room... the room did not have towels.. and no water... Water came after 45 mins and towels came after 2 hours... Because the towels came late, we reached late for breakfast and were informed that complimentary breakfast was not available. However, we we discussed with supervisor, she was good enough to serve breakfast a la carte. Ordered a veg club sandwich at night.. it came after 1 hour... a ridiculous stay. tv was not working for some time... DONT FALL FOR THE OFFER..it is not worth it... will NEVER stay here again

We checked in at 4 in the evening. Rooms were stinking as if no one has been there since ages. Washrooms were trying to be modern but they failed to maintain their status and taps were leaking. Room service was pathetic, no response after calling them several times. Not at all recommended.
I had booked the hotel for 2 night but decided to check out within 1 day even when the money was paid. Rooms smell. Curtains are torn. Bed linens not clean and even mosquitoes and AC is noisy.. One can even stay in a railway lodge but avoid this hotel
Travel only if you are looking for a cost effective hotel at a centralized location. The buffet breakfast is complimentary (depends on your package), even the food is very nice and the restaurant ambiance is average
In first sight it seems to be a big and nice hotel but it has very poor maintenance. I stayed in two different rooms but both were having one or other problems. The common problems were drain was choking in both bathroom. Picture of bath tub attached which will do you before and after the bath. Other tap in bathroom with glass door was not working and I had no option to take bath in tub because my flight was at 6.30 and I had to leave hotel at 4.00 am. Secondly, I paid Rs1000.00 for extra bed but the bed was so soil and blanket was terrible having blood stain ( picture attached) that I had no option to throw in corner because after repeatedly request they had not changed it. TV was also not working, no channel was working ( picture attached). In whole it was terrible experience and I would not suggest any one for this hotel.
Its an excellent property located right in the prime location of Chennai, but looks like the management is not interested in maintaining it. AC does not work properly, paint on the walls peeling off. Rooms smell a lot. But breakfast was very good.
