The Mount City Near US Consulate

I had booked a family executive triple room (Aug 18-20) with 3 beds as we were 3 adults and 2 kids. We reached the hotel around 3.00-3.30 pm The staff helped me park the car and took us to our room. To my surprise the room had only 2 beds, I went to the manager Rajesh and showed him the confirmation receipt that I had booked a triple room. He lied straight on my face that the room that has been given is the triple executive room. I had family with small kids who were all tired from the long 10 hour journey. I had no option but to check in. I had booked the hotel for 3 nights but checked out one day early after my work was done as it was very difficult for 3 adults and 2 kids to adjust in 2 beds, out of those 2 beds one was a king size bed (double bed) and the other one a single bed. I also went for breakfast the next morning around 7.30 am and found that the breakfast was not ready and the timing was 8.40 am to 10.00 am only. This is very late and vey odd timing for breakfast. We left without breakfast. One of the reasons for booking this hotel was breakfast so that I don't have to waste time in the morning. I left one day early as I did not want to stay and I could not stay any longer in the hotel. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. The name of the hotel is actually 'The mount city' but they have kept it as Near US consulate very cleverly as whoever searches for hotels near US consulate this will show up. The parking is for 3-4 cars at max and its parked one after the other. You either have to be ready to move your car any time depending on when the other people want to go out or you have to leave your keys with staff. I do not recommend this hotel. Update : I asked one of the cleaning guys if there was a room which had 3 rooms. He said yes but its occupied. So the owner was clearly lying. I paid for an executive 3 bed room but was given a 2 bed room. I had to shorten my trip because of this and there was no refund for smaller room provided. I do not recommend this hotel.

I wish I could select "no star". A bag of goods missed from my room (Room no 105). I requested to check the CCTV but no luck. Moreover, I had to show my luggage!! Found foreign bodies(lipstick mark on blanket), toilet lock was broken. The manager changed the blanket after complain. I will not recommed.....

Realy appreciated place and services .Staff behaviour is really nice ������.the quality of food is very good .I really like this hotel . In future ,if I got chance to visit again to Chennai I definitely stay In this hotel .������

Hotel is very neat and clean and nearby environment is very calm. Hotel restaurant is very time sensitive and not variety of food available.Price is justified. Amenities nearby alright but food prices in nearby restaurants is high.

Hygienic maintenance. Good service by all the staff. Persons at front desk and dining section are friendly and provide good hospitality
