The great Raintree

Since it has become a famous brand, I decided to stay at its other branch in Chennai. What I found is that both the hotels are exquisite in quality and charm. Very comfortable stay and very cooperating staff. Food awesome.
Not happy

We booked for 2 days, but vacated in one day. The hotel authorities charged Rs.2000 penalty. I don't think it is worth. Further, rooms are not cleaned daily. Morning I left my room and when I came back in the evening, it was in the same shape.
Simply cozy

I have been to the Raintree Hotel Anna Salai on 2016 and 2017 with my late mother who was treated at the Apollo Cancer hospital.
All what I can say is the hotel is so blessed with its staff; theyre so caring, ready to help and they just feel like family.
The staff at The Kitchen are unique and they were literally my family on my visit.
A clean place, nice food and the atmosphere is just so pleasantly different.
Good Hotel With Some Musical Entertainment
by Paploo1944 on
Stayed one night and found the hotel to be quite satisfactory. Hotel including room was clean. Staff were able to communicate in English.
The night we stayed was Friday & in the bar there was music with a couple singing melodious old Bollywood songs, which we found relaxing with a drink.(Music probably in bar only on Friday night). Dinner was a bit of disappointment, we had a fixed menu in which served a speciality regional meal ( advertised as being prepared by authentic chefs ), but unfortunately not to our taste. The waiters were obliging & changed the dessert to our taste. There was classical instrumental music being played in the restaurant which was again relaxing.
Breakfast was sumptuous with helpful suggestion by the waiter Shankar Deep Sett.
In the room Ruly came & sorted our TV.
The front desk Manager Murali I found to be be very polite & understanding. Will stay in this hotel again on our next visit to the city.
Lovely room and a wonderful buffet dinner and breakfast ....except for the music

We spent one night at the Raintree and it is a lovely hotel. The staff were very polite and helpful.
The room was impeccable and nicely appointed, sparkly clean.
I do have three comments which detracted from our stay.
1) the construction noise from the building to the north was bad and went on fairly late into the evening
2) the music in the restaurant was too loud and too noisy. It detracted from the meals.
3) the price I was quoted on the internet was much less than we paid. It seems that there are a lot of +++'s
