Hello Viewers, It was a nice experience being at Tri Sea Residency. Actually we planned to roam around chennai, we had a deep look into all the hotels near to shopping, amusement, beach, food. Tri Sea is the Perfect one for all these. Big Thanks to travelguru people. They helped me in 24 hrs check in/out and allotted me very good room. Coming to TRISEA: Quality of the room is good. its more than enough for 2-3 days. Quality of room service is good. coming to Food, Man Its DAMN GOOD, no Its Excellent. You have to taste it. Don't miss Non-veg items. I think its compete with five star quality and quantity. Very near to Marina Beach, walkable. and moreover near to TNagar for shopping, and Half a mile distance from Express Avenue. I completely suggest you guys, never look back, go a head with this hotel. Have a safe and Happy Holiday.

I chose this hotel because it was very close to University of Madras which was where my 2-days work was. I walked in at about 9 PM and showed my booking printout to the front desk personnel. The man was so engrossed in the printout that he never bothered to greet me. All through checkin he bore the attitude that he didn't understand what the printout was. I filled in guest details and was ushered to my room by the bell boy who, upon being asked, informed me that the hotel has no bar. The room was simple but clean. The AC was very good and it cooled down the room soon. Room service is very fast and food is quite commendable. The two days stay was pleasant with nothing to complain about room or room service. On the 2nd day when I went to front desk to checkout, the front desk manager told me that checkout time is 12 PM. I said I was told its 24 hours checkout policy. The man replied "Who told you?" I did not take offence of this reply because the man was genuinely surprised. I immediately called up helpline and reached Piyush who took my booking number and put me on a very short hold. He said the hotel's checkin/checkout time is 12 AM to 12 AM. Since Piyush DID NOT say its 12 PM to 12 PM, I considered this is as 24 hours checkout policy. To confirmed I asked Piyush according to this WHEN can I checkout without incurring extra charges. From this point on I got very vague answers from Piyush which irritated me - he said "Sir it is upto the hotel..." and a lot of that crap. I told Piyush that the hotel is asking me to pay extra (which I need not) and so what should I do next? That is when Piyush said "Sir it varies from hotel to hotel" I cannot stand people like this and I hung up and asked the manager to give me the final bill with the intention of pursuing the matter. By this time the manager understood whats happening and he said I don't have to pay anything extra. Bottom line: The hotel experience is recommendable but not Travelguru experience. I won't be booking with TG anymore.

The hotel is strategically located in the city. It's almost opposite to the MLA Hostel, and near the Secretariat. The Chepauk Stadium, famous through the Cricket Matches, is at about 250m distance. The Chepauk Metro Station, opposite to the stadium is also in walkable distance. The hotel is a clean 3 star facility property. I have the feeling that the exterior view could have been better. But at night, with the chandeliers and lights on, it heralds a posh living space. There is a veg and non veg restaurant. I dined only at the veg restaurant. It has an A/c and non A/c section. With a two idly plate costing about Rs. 20/- to Masala Dosa costing Rs. 45/-, at the non A/C section, it was tasty restaurant. The charges at the hotel for the food was reasonable. But when it comes to the cost of tea and coffee, it's on the higher side. A tea served to your room costs Rs. 20/-. At the restaurant, it was Rs. 13/- or so. The room is clean, well maintained and reasonably spacious. The hotel itself seemed to be relatively new. The toilets are clean and spacious. But no segregation for wet and dry area were provided, which they could have. Towel, soap, shampoo and morning daily are supplied. The staff is courteous and polite. The carparking available is minimal,restricted to what can be parked in the porch, say about 10. But it needs to be added that the road is not so crowded, and parking on the street is possible. Except if you are looking for a resort like facility, this hotel is good.

I would say it was very gud stay. I selected this hotel bcoz of the price they offer and the location. No other hotel can afford such a reasonable price. The location of the hotel was very convenient for my shopping and other things as it is situated at center of the city. This hotel has 2 restaurant one for Veg and the other for non-veg though the price were bit high but it was tasty. Overall this hotel is an good option and i would recommend this hotel for short stay.

Located at agood place, this hotel provides a very good stay at economical rates. It is still under renuvation, so some of the rooms are not upto the standards, but the managent is dealing with it very well. Food was also good, with options of two cuisines. All in all a good place to stay.

I love the restaurant on the Ground Floor - Woodlaands ( similar to Woodlands ). It's vegetarian with lots of dosas etc. There is a meat restaurant too. It's nice that they are separate. The rooms are quite large and there is lots of space to put your things and a table to work from. However the rooms are not as fresh looking as when I stayed a few years ago. Some basic maintenance would improve things - clean the shower heads for example to improve the water flow. Still a good option and the bed was really comfortable - firm mattress. 10 minutes away from the sea and close to the centre of the city.

This is my 2nd staying this hotel. Right now i am in this hotel and i will be checked out after 30 minutes . As i booked through booking.com and got OYO rooms. My room was 204. Not so small room. Bed was clean. Ac was working. Hot water facility also there. Toilet was clean. Decoration of the room could be better as ac side wall got damp. The main purpose of to stay in this hotel is that , it is just opposite of TTDC office. As we went to Tirupathi trip so its easy to go by walk early morning 4.30 am to catch the volvo bus to tirupathi. marina beach you can go by walk.

I stayed in the Hotel from 05th Aug'16-09th Aug'15,but the same is more because of the location which is next to chepauk stadium and Marina beach (within one km)..Staff behaviour is nice but needs to be told what is required..Hospitality is average...Food options in menu are very limited..Breakfast does not have north India food,only south Indian (hence limited option)..Channels in TV is also limited..hence,limitations sorround you in this property..Hence, would stay in the hotel just because it is near to the beach,else only aveage in terms of food and hospotality...Also, one more thing,if you order food in the room,then you will recieve cold food...Be prepared for the same,else go down to their restaurant,which is a pain tn the morning!!!

We are a family of four. We spent December 25 to December 29 at Tri Sea Residency at Chennai. The hotel is purely a regional hotel with major shortcomings. 1. The hotel does not have a modern hot water heating system. It has a very inefficient solar thermal water heating system to which a heater is connected. The solar units are over 7 years old. In room numbers 214 and 215 where we were put up, there was no hot water available. The housekeeping repeatedly told us to run the hot water tap till we get hot water which has to travel through a convoluted piping system. After wasting 4 buckets (20 litre bucket) of water we got one bucket of lukewarm water. We were able to get only I bucket of warm per day. The hotel has 48 AC double rooms. At this rate of water wastage, the monthly wastage is 1,15,200 litres of water on a monthly basis. This is shameful wastage since Chennai faces a deficit of water supply 2. The hotel does not have a modern toilet. The water taps can really be preserved as museum pieces. The flush does not work properly with the result almost one bucket of water has to be pushed in to clear the toilet waste 3. In an adjacent room which has 2 double beds (216), 4 rowdy people had booked who shouted on their mobiles particularly after 11 pm every night we were there. Also, they had visitors from 11 pm to 5 pm who engaged in heavy drinking and shouting making it impossible for us to sleep. Our complaints to the reception bore no results. All in all please avoid this hotel. Go there only if you have no alternative. Arun Chatterjee

Tri Sea has been steadily going from bad to worse. It was my third stay here in the past 3 years, but not again. This place has soo much potential but all squandered ... 1) Big rooms, but when the lights are out, small and many cockroaches are at play all over the room. 2) They have converted the Woodlands restaurant into a party hall. So the 2 restaurants they run on their own are very dicey. a) I asked for my coffee without sugar twice, and they successfully bungled up both times without any sort of guilt. b) The chutneys they served with idly/dosa, i suspect were stale on one or two occasions. c) They dont have any idea what sweet corn soup is!!! 3) The staff is highly confused. I gave my clothes for laundry in the morning. In the evening when i asked for them, they said they had not received any. Again no sense of guilt / urgency to solve the mystery. Then i some how figured out that they had booked the clothes under the wrong room number. Finally when the clothes came back, my socks were missing and the colour of my shirt had changed. Again no apology or any concern for what had happened. They even billed my for the entire laundry. I had to "request" them to not bill me for my missing socks. 4) Quality of sleep is horrible. There are people from the staff and guest talking loudly in the corridors from 6 AM to as late as 12AM. 5) Limited subscription to english / hindi channels leaves you with hardly any choice. 6) I had to to catch a flight very early in the morning and was trying to catch some sleep. All of a sudden my room bell rings at 1 AM. When I dint open, the door knob was used to try and open the door. For some reason apparently the bellboy thought he was called. Was he Insane. And then their insane reception calls me on the room phone at 1:30AM to check if i had called them. So i practically dint sleep all night because of their stupidity. Well I am so miffed after such a horrible experience. I could go on and on ... but all in all my sincere advise : dont go there. You will find much much better and "habitable" places in chennai
