Our visit did not start off well as the staff were obviously having a siesta - so no garlands and only a rather hastily woken solitary drummer - which would not have mattered at all except that the next guests to arrive got the whole full five star welcome!! We were not given the upgraded rooms we had booked - we did not mind but our friends did move to a better room (which we had booked) and when we saw their new room we wished we had moved too!!! So we had no mini bar for cooling water. We had glasses in our room but no water and it was a nightmare getting any. Staff were sweet but totally chaotic and ordering drinks, coffee, even the water, was very difficult. I had a lovely ride but for purists the tack was dreadful and very badly fitted. Nice horse tho and full of life - wonderful views of the castle from across the valley. Limited and intermittent wifi.

Stayed in this charming castle for 2 nights- one day was a quiet Holi at the Castle converted Heritage Rooms. The Rooms are big, bathrooms very clean, beds are so comfortable, there are such lovely tiny nooks, where you can sit n enjoy the silence and look at life going on in rural Rajasthan Dinner by the poolside- candle lights, chill breeze, one night was privileged to see the Maharaja, having a few words with the guests. Suggestions- I found the steep steps bit difficult to climb , if you have a problem in climbing , see that you get a ground floor room. There is no dahi, yoghurt or butter milk in the menu, would prefer the hotel management to include it, considering the heat. You get a rousing welcome with drumb beats n Tikal on your fore head when you arrive, would really prefer they give a refreshing welcome drink, after a long ride. Overall would suggest this place for a welcome get away from our daily lives n experience life in a castle.

A beautiful setting with great potential. It was evident since check in that the staff had no customer service training. We were not informed of anything and found ourselves at a loss several times to simple things for example where dinner was served. Staff were helpful but in a very laxed and unprofessional way. The food was bland even after asking for spicier food there was no improvement. Such simple things that could have made a huge difference to our stay. I can't say that i will recommend this place.

Disappointing Disappointing

Old castle. Converted in 1991 to a hotel. We stayed here 1 night and the total of all the parts I'd disappointing. We had power blackouts on at least 7 occasions during the afternoon. The beds are just acceptable. The restaurant serves. Buffet at night, Indian food only. Breakfast was ordinary, so overall, I would not stay here again The worst part, is that my passports were kept for about 4 hours

Very nice stay and nice service Very nice stay and nice service

We stayed in the old part of the castle, the rooms are beautiful, charming and clean The surroundings are well maintained and makes you wanna go and sit anywhere just to enjoy the atmosphere. Service at the restaurant was great and food quality too I would definitely recommend this place to stay, and if you can spend one full day there and just relax, do it !
