It was a very good experience with this hotel. Staff are there to help when you buzz them. Comfortable and clean room with basic facilities provided.
Rooms were very neat and clean and the service, which was provided in the room, was very nice. Staffs behavior was very nice and helpful. It was very easy to find the hotel. Over all experience was very nice.
We enjoyed our stay here, service was very good. Location was fine.
Everything about the hotel is excellent, great Indian contemporary dining, great lobby area, rooms are well kept, bathrooms excellent, great smell around the hotel. Plenty of activity to keep you in the hotel.
Location was excellent. Our room was well furnished with modern furniture. Also the breakfast was superb in taste. The service provided by the staff was wonderful. We would love to visit this place again future.

This is another resort managed by KTDC and they are doing a really good job. The hotel is an old palace now converted into a resort with sea on both sides of it. The richness of wooden work in the hotel is awesome. The view from the pool and open court is fantastic as it overlooks the harbor (next to famous Cochin Shipyard). Rooms are large with attached balcony - relaxing place to spend your evenings. They have central along with individual AC for each room. The restaurant serves nice variety of food and has a excellent view of the pool/harbor. There are cruise boats available and may need separate bookings - not part of standard offering. The highlight has to be the richness and wooden staircase/floor of first floor. We really enjoyed our stay and marina views out there.
I have visited there during last year monsoon. The best thing of this hotel is it's view. I have booked a marine view room. View from the room is excellent. From the balcony of the room you can see see huge lake of kochi, marine drive. Ships are sailing throughout tge day. Fishermen are roaming around with there small boats. What I have experienced from the balcony is thunderstorms. I can't experience in word the beuti of this. The main building is a dutch palace, most probably built in 18th century. Experience a warm hospitality. Rooms are large, clean. Nice campus. Only thing is food, food is very expensive and very less option. I have asked for al-a-carte dinner, they told you can order food from buffet menu only, which is individualy highly priced.
We went with our family and we were thoroughly disappointed. The hotel has so much potential however the general upkeep and management is terrible. My room was so musty I had severe allergies and had to change rooms. In spite of doing so, I needed to take medication. The cushions on the bed had liquid stAins and bathrooms needed to be tended to as well. Out of the 3 showers I took- 2 were cold because the hot water system had not been started. So all rooms had cold water. The food was terrible and there was only a buffet option. Cold idlis and sweet sandwiches. Since the hotel is on an island, the fact that they serve terrible food makes it extremely inconvenient as one has to take a ferry to reach the mainland in search of decent food. One night we ended up ordering pizza and paying extra for delivery. Overall, this place was extremely disappointing. The online photos make it seem very charming, but if you are used to a certain standard at a hotel- this will be a let down
Stayed with Family in the Palace hotel suites. What can I say about that? ne of the suites have been previously stayed by the previous Prime Minister of the country. The other one was where the current President stayed. Suite had 3 rooms - one bedroom, one powder room and one sitting/living room. the bath area was massive. But the best thing was an enormous Patio (you can fit a volleyball court there) overlooking the lagoon Note : As it is in a lagoon area, there are mosquitos. Please bring your own mosquito repellant ointments/creams etc
This resort is one of the kind as it is an extension of a Dutch palace and they have maintained it well. The rooms we got on ground floor was spacious as it had high ceilings and a garden view balcony. It was centrally air conditioned. The hotel staff is helpful and restaurant is fine. We had very good as well as average food here. One can roam around in resort itself and it does provide good views of lake.
