goo menu, good service, great view goo menu, good service, great view

expectations must deliver. As soon as you enter this space you expect quality. The ambience of the space is laid back chic. the menu is Keralan with Kapa as a tasty speciality. Kapa is a tapioca root and they cook with cocunut oil .. it tastes like a dry potato and is great with sauces. everything was perfect for a late lunch with friends. the menu delivered the staff ere attentive and the atmosphere lovely. one note to the restaurant.maybe dump the cheesy background rock music and look for some great jazz or modern karnatic music . That's just my taste though.

Worth a visit to sample the colonial club Worth a visit to sample the colonial club

The service we experienced was only average. Not exactly packed with people (one other person in there when we visited) but there was a bit of a wait for our drinks. An interesting location with evidence of amenities for the evening eg snooker table and games room. Worth a visit to see the interior. Note: you will pay an additional 50 /- or so, as a temporary member If you want to stay here there are only about four or five rooms.

Great Place for Family Stay Great Place for Family Stay

by 685sojourner16 on November 2, 2016

We stayed as a family from October 16, 2016 for 5 nights. Cochin Club is centrally located-walking distance to most tourist attractions. We enjoyed the great sea view and the pleasant scenery. The rooms are very spacious and well-maintained with modern facilities. Staff were very friendly and helpful in guiding us around. The Asian Restaurant has great food but could add more variety. There's a big swimming pool that was under renovation and hopefully we will get to use it next time we visit. They have got indoor and outdoor recreational activities. We are vey grateful to the General Manager and his team for ensuring that we had a comfortable stay.We enjoyed our stay at Cochin Club and would recommend it to all, especially to families that would find this place a home away from home! I stayed one night in the Cochin Club, which is located inside the old Fort, and overlooks the sea. The enormous room (complete with dressing room) provides 'solid' comfort. If you are not seeking luxury or ostentation, this is the place for homely comfort. With the magnificent dimensions of the room, the old furniture and spreading lawns outside - and all scrupulously clean - the level of comfort is high. What I didn't like: 1) fluorescent lighting when the room was crying out for the warmth of shaded yellow lamps 2) no operating bar on the premises because of Kerala's outrageous liquor license charges 3) no traditional dining room with club kitchen although there is a cafe-bistro and Oriental style restaurant on the premises

Cochin Club Cochin Club

I have visited Cochin Club as part of family day celebrations from my organisation and with later with friends. This is an excellent place in the midst of Fort Cochin. The family day celebrations was very much enjoyed by all as we could arrange for mix of indoor and out door events. Kids to grand parents enjoyed each and every moment of our celebrations. You can play football, tennis, volley ball and lot more activities could be organised. If you wish to sit and relax also you have enough and more places. When I was here with friends, they were amazed by the set up here. From the colonial architecture to the mouth watering food to the excellent service by the staff was appreciated. The rooms are maintained very well and they are large enough to accommodate minimum 4 people. The rates they charge is also reasonable. Definitely a must try place.
