Dutch Bungalow

Family stay. Room tariff felt a little costly. I went in the month of March'25. Service is good, well managed, clean and no issues regarding place hygiene. Since my room was on the ground floor, I'd hear people walk if they were on the floor above but that's part of the traditional dutch house. Their welcome drink (pineapple - ginger- lemon juice) was good, we (my family) ordered it later during dinner as well. The restaurant is decent. We had a fish dish(see photos), and it tasted different from what I have had in other states. I'd recommend getting breakfast here. They served a buffet which felt sufficient enough. Location: not very far from the beach, easily walkable.

We enjoyed our stay here for two nights while visiting Fort Kochi! The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and we felt right at home. It’s a heritage mansion with spacious communal areas, a courtyard dining area, and a pool. Our room was gigantic with high ceilings and very comfortable. The location is great, close to the beach walk, Saint Francis church, and some great stores with quality gifts.

We had the upstairs suite, nice rooms, plenty of space. The staff was always very helpful, the breakfast was nice, recommend to have the omelette. The location is a bit away from everything, but with the short walking distances it's not a problem. It's nice and quiet.

Excellent place to stay. Wonderful reception on arrival. Great location for exploring Fort Kochi. Very good rooms with top quality linen, excellent house keeping staff. All staff very helpful and attentive we were treated more like family than guests. When we left they arranged a car to take us to the station the driver waited with us then took us onto the train to our seats. Thanks to everybody at the Dutch Bungalow. We will return.

The Dutch Bungalow is a beautiful heritage building that we wish we had more time to spend staying in. We got to stay in a room with a tiny balcony overlooking the pool. It was comfortable with the much needed fans and air-conditioning. The service was great and friendly. I think it was lovely Nazia ? who hosted us at the reception and helped complete the formalities. They were happy to provide us with enough bottled water during our stay. And the kind porter or door security took care of our luggage when we stepped out after room check out. The breakfast was also nice and fresh with a lot of options. The hotel is in a brilliant location and one can safely walk around the narrow lanes of fort kochi area and not be bored. The beach is just a short walk away and there are lots of food options nearby. There are autos normally parked outside the hotel. Although many try to sell you a tour, the people were quite decent and helpful. I had issues accessing wifi once in a while and the bedding had a stain, but it was tucked in. It was a lovely experience staying at the beautiful property and they have traditional large lounging areas on both floors.
