Eighth Bastion Hotel - CGH Earth

Hotel heritage in the area of the fort. Cozy environment and friendly and helpful staff. Small but well-groomed swimming pool. Good restaurant and good and varied breakfast. Large and comfortable room. The air conditioning cannot be adjusted, it is too cold or it is too hot. Large bathroom and very large shower. Good wifi. The cleaning service in the room should be taken care of.

We stayed for three nights at Eighth Bastion, which is perfectly located on a quiet street in Fort Kochi. From the moment we arrived and Amal checked us in, the team at the hotel could not have been more hospitable, kind and gracious. Every member of staff was helpful without being overbearing and it was a pleasure to get to know them a little. The food was the best we ate in Kochi. I would not hesitate to return to Eighth Bastion and would recommend it to anyone looking for excellent value for money and a perfect base to explore Fort Kochi.

Room 301 has a nice bathroom and tub with a balcony overlooking the pool. The staff is amazing and I taught them how to make a yin yang milk tea and coffee drink. Great breakfast that’s included and they had a free afternoon tea and coffee at 4pm. The only thing is I wished they had toddy. No one makes toddy.

Another great property of the CGH chain. Nice colonial feeling, lots of style and serenity . Spacious rooms and incredible bathroom ! all is very clean and comfy, some elements in the room are not as well designed as others, but overall gives a great feeling. very nice pool , generous breakfast. A quaint boutique hotel well situated in Fort Kochi with tastefully done up impeccable spacious rooms is well worth a place to visit. It’s walking distance from the beach with the Chinese fishing nets on one side and a number of small eateries/ caf??s and shops on the other. Staff is courteous, very helpful & obliging. The swimming pool is small and well maintained. We visited during Onam so the place was nicely decorated with flowers and we were given a small gift - a lovely touch. Thank you Eighth Bastion for making our stay memorable.
