If you want to go somewhere that is extremely beautiful with a huge amount of peace and tranquility thrown in then go here.My daughter and i were looking for a yoga retreat with treatments and I found the Elephant Pass. Situated by the river in amongst the trees you could not ask for a better place to go to totally unwind. The treatments are amazing and when finished you can relax and just listen to the birdsong and watch the river, it reall is heaven.
A little pocket of paradise.. If you are searching for a place to experience the unbelievable therapies of Ayurvedic treatments and some authentic yoga retreat time the elephant pass Ayurvedic and yoga retreat centre Just outside Kochi on the backwater rivers is certainly a place to consider. Set in peaceful, tranquil surroundings you can certainly take a step back from the rest of the world and recollect your soul, mind and physical being here. A much recommended stop if traveling in the south of India for a short or a longer period of time. Much to learn, much to gain by this soulful little paradise if open to it. A friendly family run business that offers you a great southern Indian experience in a touch of southern Indian paradise. Samantha
I was looking for a break from my busy life and I found this beautiful place situated deep in the jungle, sandwiched between an elephant taming center and river Periyar. A place of tranquility and serenity, you can forget the rest of the world in its ambiance. My family enjoyed the stay there, excellent food and service, also the Ayurveda massage is a good chance to get rejuvenated. looking forward to go there in October.

The staff/Therapy/Yoga/Veg.food in Kerala style recipe was excellent..The river front view is amazing. We selected Elephant Pass based on the positive reviews from trip advisor. The place is very nice overlooking the river. The rooms are ok to stay for 1 or 2 nights. The staff are helpful and nice. We booked a room but we found that it does not include AC, some rooms has. Our main issues was that the hotel is far away from the main road, you have to walk around 1km to reach the roam. The nearest grocery and restaurant was 2km from the hotel. Our stay was bed abd breakfast. The issue they do not provide any variety for the breakfast, it is only one dish if you did not like it, you have nothing to eat. We had to order dinner from the hotel, there is no menu to choose from, u just have to inform them that you will have dinner and you must eat the food of the day. We discovered that the elephant camp reallocated from their place, so we could not see the elephants and have to take tuktuk to go there. We believe it is nice place but given they decided to slightly shift from Ayurveda to hotels, they shall add more food options given that they are far away from any restaurant. Adding a pool will be a great touch to this place.
