Beginning of Kerala tour. Booked via Thomas Cook in Adayar, Chennai. Mubeen organised our trip and was very helpful and arranged a great package. Stayed in Presidency in Kochi. Clean, friendly & a great location. Highly recommend.
Good rooms, nice food and absolutely friendly and helpful staff. Very courteous and professional. Very close to the city and North railway station. Well maintained even it's one of the oldest hotel in Cochin. All the best..
I have been staying in this hotel for quite some time. The hotel is in the heart of the city, very near to the Railway Station. The food, service is exceptional. I am really liking my stay at this hotel. I have my breakfast with a classy and elegant feeling
I had an occasion to stay at the Presidency Hotel from 24 Dec 16 to 01 Jan 17 along with my wife and daughter. The Hotel is centrally located, close to the Ernakulam North (Town) Railway Station. The hotel is more than 15 years old and is truing to live on its old glory. The rooms does not match up to the latest hotels; however, one extra bed can be added at a squeeze. PROS 1. Most centrally located 2. Has laundry facility. A steam iron and ironing board will be provided on request. 3. Service is prompt; staff is friendly, cheerful and most of them speak English. 4. Has a good restaurant on the 7th floor with a good view of the city, if you can manage to get the alcove seating. 5. Has sufficient space for guest's car parking. Security is good and the security staff is very helpful. 6. The entire staff is quite friendly, cheerful and ever ready to help. CONS 1. Rooms do not match up to newer hotels; a/c makes a lot of humming noise. 2. Does not have sufficient plug points placed conveniently, in the room 3. Hardly any toiletry items except for a soap, a sachet of shampoo and a shower cap. No tooth paste / tooth brush / comb etc., 4. No hair dryer; maybe the Malayalees believe in the natural drying of hair by sun & wind. 5. Maintenance is poor. On the first day, the bath tub was clogged; when that was attended to, the wash basin got clogged. When this was rectified, the wash basin started leaking!! In the adjacent room, the whole wall inside the wardrobe was damp - maybe due to a leaking in the plumbing. 6. When the whole nation is trying to go digital, Wi-fi in this hotel is on payment!! 7. Breakfast is complimentary but nothing to write home about. The fare is mainly Indian dishes with only scrambled egg / omelette / boiled to pass off for an English breakfast. No ham / bacon / sausages etc., Maybe the hotel does not want to loose a large number of Muslim clients who frequent this hotel. 8. The so called tomato sauce is thicker than the jam. The sauce just can not be poured nor applied with a knife!! Must be pumpkin sauce. The Hotel definitely can not claim to be a 4 star property. Maybe the foreigners (on a shoe-string budget) find it very modestly priced compared to other "star" hotel; hence you can see quite a few of them at this hotel.Overall, a centrally located, decent, value-for-money hotel. Nothing more, nothing less.
Old fashioned rooms and TV.. deluxe tower is like a lodge... i ordered this via agoda and it says the actual price of room is 5000 and via app it is reduced to 2500 (later i come to know that actual price is around 2500). i expect much better room....and i feel cheated thru the agoda app too
