From the moment we arrived we were greeted by enthusiastic 'guest relations' staff. I can honestly say that of all the 10 hotels we stayed in over 2.5 weeks, this was the best for customer service. They helped us celebrate our wedding anniversary by baking us a cake and then there were flowers and a lovely balloon in our room with a handwritten note. We were truly made to feel special. Given that this is a big hotel, the fact that the staff in the restaurant knew our name was very impressive. All of the staff were lovely. Special mention to Sweety on guest relations and Dimple. They really do go that extra mile. I was unfortunately taken ill with a tummy bug on the day before we were due to fly and the hotel had a a doctor sent to my room in 20 minutes. Medicine was given but the amount of care that is given at such a large hotel is amazing. Restaurant - food is outstanding. Believe the reviews about the restaurant upstairs. We were unfortunate not to have booked and they were full. They arranged for the food to be cooked in the kitchen and we ate it in the restaurant upstairs. It was one of the best meals we had eaten in our 2.5 weeks in India. The rooms are lovely and spacious too.The bed is also a proper double bed and was so comfortable. Great night's sleep. Location - Great for the shopping at the mall but the best part was going to Ermakulam market - getting off the beaten track and buying last minute gifts. A tuk tuk cost 200 rupees to get there but the atmosphere at the market was amazing. Spa - Had a back massage given by Lucy. I felt totally relaxed afterwards. Expensive by local standards but worth every penny. Pool - Very nice and clean. Staying here was a great way to end our trip. Worth every penny and would stay here again without hesitation.
