Everything was beautiful. Staff, room, food and spa. Had a 3 day spa package that was well worth it!!!! Every staff member was more than helpful and kind. They went over and beyond when helping us in so many different ways. Will be returning in the future!!

Les 3 Elephants gives you both the picturesque backwaters on your doorstep, as well as the beach just a short distance away. Watching the fishermen at work both on their boats and using the Chinese Nets at dawn was fascinating and we had a lovely boat trip around the backwaters as well (arranged by the staff here). We liked the fact that we could also use the pool at Le Petit Elephant, just a short walk away. The room was comfortable and the property itself attractively laid out and landscaped. We had some great massage and Ayuvedic treatments here as well. Best of all was the outstanding g food - the India-French fusion kitchen had us very happy, with its consistently excellent food. Try the prawns or squid fried in garlic or ginger - seriously delicious!

on my last visit to India I was able to spend some time at Les 3 Elephants I absolutely loved the Kerala Style Bungalows with the outdoor Shower :-) the Bungalow had it's own courtyard with a day bed ..the Restaurant food was good but a luck of vegetarian choices on offer as it was from a Blackboard Menu on a plant based diet I struggled with the choice ..but that's the only negative I can say about this place

Easy place to stay Easy place to stay

We had a Junior Suite which was situated near the front desk. The hotel is not on the beach, but on the river or 'backwater'. This means mozzies so bring your repellent! The rooms are all little huts with a path and gardens running up the centre of them, and down to the river. Our room had air-con and the ones facing the river don't, I was told. You really need the aircon as its very hot and sticky weather otherwise. Being close to reception also meant that the wifi actually worked in or room and this was a huge bonus as the guest areas and the dining area are open air and with fans only. We could sit in luxury of our room, with the aircon, and surf the web which was great!! There was one guy at the fornt desk who was excellent. He had great English skills and was very knowledgeable. Quite frankly, this hotel wouldn't be half as good if it wasn't for him as he was really the centre of knowledge and English speaking. I'm not sure anyone else really had much command of English. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is a little out of everything but I recommend the backwater twilight cruise. The photo opportunities of the fisherman was great!

Traveled as a big family and stayed in Les 3 elephants. Everything was wonderful about this place and good value for money Rooms: 4.5/5 Aesthetically done, all rooms have view of backwater from the front porch. However the rooms are small and if you want a extra bed call ahead first and tell them so they can hold the room which can accommodate extra cot-only few rooms are that big. Very nice outdoor shower and hammocks and also a tastefully done seating area in the backside near the rain shower add to the charm of the rooms Food: 5/5 Limited menu but very tasty food. Vegetarians will have difficult time but the folks at Les 3 are very obliging and will make you something extra. Every meal we had they made something extra for us as we couldn't find good veggie options Service: 5/5 Very good. Everyone was smiling and obliging and went that extra bit to make the stay a good one Now, they have a pool (with a nice sea view) in the sister property which is a ten minute walk. Don't miss that. The sister property has AC accomodation but somehow I felt Les 3 was better. We went to beach early in the morning and had almost a 3km stretch of calm sea just for ourselves. Overall I would say an excellent place to stay in Cherai
