New property with good facade meets expectations to a large extent . How ever , it is well out side Kochi & if the idea is to see Kochi , there are better options. There are no eating places or shops nearby . So beware !
Be that as it may , the Hotel is professionally managed with pleasant staff at the reception. Our checking in & out was smooth.
Room is well-appointed with all needs well met , like AC, TV, fridge , safe , coffee/tea, decent bathhroom with required toiletteries. Slight minus was , Zaccuzi being too high to get into. Our bed was a bit creaky but it was attended to pretty fast.
Breakfast was average . Only two types of fruits & papaya was not upto the mark. Eggs to order( thankfully ) , juice ( only one type ) , no cheese , ham , bacon. Puri , sabzi , vada , uttapama with sambhar , rozi . Croissants were rather dry . Coffee pre-mixed but nice.
The restaurant is ok but their Ceasers salad , fish & chips were below standard.
The resort boasts of a small swimming pool, a small lake with pedal - boat, basket ball court, rose garden with hardly any roses. No alcohol is served in the property . I wonder how one can enjoy a resort & not have a chilled beer!!
Over all , nice , comfortable rooms , but catering could be better.
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpfull. Clean, tidy and Good size on the rooms. They have a Nice restaurant and a great chef. The location is away from all the noice and are Nice an quiet. This is a hotel i will recomend!
A bit of a journey to get here outside Cochin. First a short ferry (3 rupies) and then tuktuk (50-80 rupies) until you get here. Well worth it. Lovely double room. Ok breakfast. Pool and a small play park for children.
Hotel was same as shown on the site.. We stayed there for one night & it was quite comfortable stay. Our room was deluxe room. Room & washroom were neat & clean. Hotel staff was very cooperative specially the staff in the restaurant.. The swimming pool was clean & the health club was very good with all exercising instruments. Food was of gud quality. Only one negative point was the location of the hotel although it was just 35-40 min drive from Cochin airport but it was far off the sight seeing places & outside the hotel there was residential area of fishermen.
We arrived by taxi from Kochi. The journey as you would expect was bonkers and the little town where it is located was scruffy and chaotic but when we came to the end of the lane that leads to it we were delighted. An oasis, a beautiful walled building with huge fish ponds and a swimming pool (chargeable by the hour). The Hotel staff polite and helpful but spoke very little english ( excepting the senior staff). The hotel and rooms were clean and tidy and the food was very acceptable. But, but, the big isue was the lack of a bar of any sort. Kerala is effectively a dry state, we knew that and accepted that but the hotel could only offer Coffee, Tea and soda water or water. No soft drinks of any kind. Every beverage had to go via room service and have it diverted small reception lounge. that said we did manage to wonder the streets and get some Sprite. All that said if you have to stay in Vypin over night this is the place to be..
