Lovely, really good value rooms in good location and helpful staff Lovely, really good value rooms in good location and helpful staff

Rooms are above the standard expected at this price, and location is really good. Arrived during de-monetisation so had issues getting cash but staff were really helpful. Good value, they own a good cafe nearby as well called Koshi Art Cafe.

A Gem of a boutique lodge A Gem of a boutique lodge

Raintree is a tiny lodge offering bed only in very comfortable heritage style accommodation. The furniture and art are carefully selected. The lodge was clean, comfortable and and a lovely experience. i stayed there for 8 nights recently and loved walking to great selection of entertainment and restaurants closeby such as the Kathakali centre, Asian Kitchen and Tapas restaurants at the Cochin club and breakfast at the Teapot down the road. I took cooking lessons at Oceanos restaurant and Ayurvedic treatments and all of these activities were within walking distance. The staff are warm, very hospitable. Boshin and Vijesh who managed the place were fabulous hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. I felt very well taken care of. They are happy to make recommendations and arrange transport if required though I used Uber which worked well. The rooms do not have television which didn't matter as I wanted to escape that as much as possible. Rooms have candles ..charming if you wish to read by candlelight. Wifi is intermittent from the upstairs back room but works well in reception. The guys helped me print my air tickets and made sure I was together to catch my 4am flight. i felt like I had left good friends behind and hope to meet up again one day. I will definitely stay here again.

Nice place Nice place

The hotel is in a great location with a very short walk to the fishing nets and local restaurants. The room was clean and spacious with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast is not included but there are many cafes nearby which can provide breakfast. The only issue was that on check out, early in the morning when we were due to catch a bus, we were told without warning that there is no card machine available to settle the bill, which meant we had to pay in cash. I feel that the payment process should be explained more clearly on the booking confirmation to avoid the inconvenience of having to go and get money out, especially when on the minutes to catch an early morning bus.

Fantastic Cosy little Lodge Fantastic Cosy little Lodge

We were picked up from the airport by our driver Anthony, in a very cool vintage Ambassador. Anthony mainly drives for the old Harbour Hotel, which is owned by the same people. He gave us a little introduction to the people and culture of Fort Cochin. We were so happy when he dropped us off at the quaint little lodge covered in vines with the staff outside cheerfully flying a kite. Raintree Lodge is centrally located, a short stroll to the Chinese fishing nets, great restaurants, fish market and cute little cafes. The rooms are charming, very tastefully decorated and very clean.
