Ok, I must admit the facility must have been good years ago, sadly they are a thing of the past. It's totally outdated, not maintained, interiors wearing out, bathtubs stained. Breakfast was meagre, staff not pleasant n what more do you want from a resort ? Long way to go before we make another booking here!
I stayed here in November with my family and we had booked a twin bed room, with extra bed. It's just 10 minutes from the Kochi airport. We were awestruck when we entered the resort in the late evening by the property and amenities. They charge a deposit fee of Rs. 2000, but we didn't have a problem with that. We were shown around and taken to our room in a small cable car, which I really enjoyed. Our room was spacious, however, it was a smoking room and hence stank a little initially. They have a minibar, TV, AC, bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries. All items in the minibar were chargeable.
We were pleasantly surprised to see all the rooms surrounded by a lovely swimming pool, which I guess, is the USP of this resort.
They also have a DJ night on Friday & Saturday nights, and room occupants have free entry. However, was not a place for me as I cannot real stand the smell of cigarettes.
We went to the Bamboo cafe for dinner, the food was strictly OK, and we had to wait a really long time (almost an hour) for it to come.
The breakfast spread was amazing, especially the pastries and cakes.
Our checkout time was 12 PM and we had to catch a flight at 1 PM, hence called up front desk at 11Am and told them we needed an airport drop (which was complimentary in our booking). However, despite many calls to the from desk and waiting there for another 20 minutes, nobody turned up. We even told them to call their manager however, he too did not show up. So finally as we couldn't wait any longer, we had to pay Rs. 300 to a private driver for a 10 minute ride to the airport. This was very frustrating and really bad on their part, which ruined the entire experience.
So my advice would be to eat their heads 2-3 hours from the time you need to reach the airport, more if it's an international flight.
This is the second time I am staying in Saj Earth resort .It is. Beautiful ,quiet ,green resort with unique styling of having all rooms around the pool
The restaurants and bar -both outdoor and indoor are nice and food is served in a Relaxed ambience with occasional live music .All the rooms are fuly equipped with kettle ,tea maker, iron, hair dryers ,42inch Tv,automatic power controls ,bath tub ,hot water ,bathroom accessories
The landscaping is good and they have a gym Nd recreation centre and spa also
It's right next to the airport and they offer free drop facility
It's a lovely place to relax just before catching a flight out of Kochi
very unprofessional and rude staff. Not worth for money. The hotel refuse to offer us complimentary breakfast though while check in the receptionist assures about it.The rooms are not well maintained and even find insects .
My friend made the booking for a double room online. While checking in we requested for an extra bed but was refused as they cited that extra beds were only provided to families with kids. Due to this a friend had to go back home. We were also informed by the receptionist that complimentary breakfast would be provided but the next day the restaurant manager told us that that option was not there for our room. When we went to clarify this with the reception, they said that bookings done online will not be provided complimentary breakfast. At the price that they charge I feel that complimentary breakfast should be provided, whether the booking is done online or direct.
The advertise that they provide free Wifi but the speed is very slow. The TV cable has only Malayalam channels. We even saw a small snake in the kids pool area. It may not have been dangerous but why take the risk.
They do have a wonderful pool area which is quite big and is adjust to the bar. They also provide massage for guest which is charged additionally.
Over all, I and my friends were not quite happy after spending this much money. They also ask for a refundable deposit money of Rs 2000 which I have not seen or heard of anywhere.
