We have stayed here for 2 days in a superior room and our stay was a wonderful experience. There was a beautiful swimming pool but the air floaters weren't provided free. We have paid around 150/- Rs for bicycles. However I thank Club Mahindra staffs for making our stay memorable & it was an excellent stay in short.

It was really a great experience with this property, everything was so just perfect. Our deluxe suite was beautiful and the food in restaurant was lovely. Amenities were awesome. Hospitality was wonderful. We also liked the ambiance, there is a nice swimming pool and suitable place for kids to play. But only feedback was they overcharged on everything we got and there was nothing as complimentary (minus breakfast). However, it was a fantastic stay in whole.

The floor was wooden and quite slippery not suitable for the senior citizen. The bathroom was quite ordinary as there was no facility. Apart from that the rest was fine like service and room arrangement. The location was excellent.

Plantations in the midst of rain forest. Plantations in the midst of rain forest.

by Buhariwalla on February 21, 2017

Being the members of Club Mahindra Resorts, we visited their resort in Coorg and stayed for 6 nights from 8th February 2017 amidst clean and green natural environment. Madikeri (Mercara) town situated in the district of Kodagu (Coorg) is full of coffee and pepper plantations. Resort situated on this popular hill station of Karnataka State at the altitude of 3800 feet is very scenic and lush green. Rooms are tastefully furnished and well maintained. Working staff at all levels were extremely courteous and helpful. Food is good and well served but priced a bit high considering the living standard of the place. I strongly recommend a visit and stay for at least 4 days at the resort and tour the places of interest in Madikeri.

Rooms are quiet large with spacious balcony. With all the amenities, toiletries. Daily activities in the evening hours are very good. Kids play area is excellent with all the indoor games to spend quality time. Located 5 kms away from madikeri. There are Two swimming pool to enjoy. Staff is very helpful and courteous. Check in and check out is fast and hassle free. And thank you club Mahindra for a surprise birthday cake. Overall club Mahindra coorg is Worth every penny ,a must visit resort if its coorg.

Best holidays spent at one of the resorts of truly International standard however with Indian hospitality. Neither a hill station nor on the plains making the stay comfortable with swimming pool et al. No so crowded places of tourist interests such as Abbi falls, Raja's seat, Thala Kaveri and coffee plantations will sure to motivate you for second trip. Club activity centre will keep any age group engaged for hours. Best value for money.

CLUB MAHINDRA MADIKERI OR VIRAJPET??? CLUB MAHINDRA MADIKERI OR VIRAJPET???

by Jagdish S on February 18, 2017

Feb 18,2017 It depends on your likes and dislikes. Both are good. For my money it is MADIKERI. Virajpet is comparatively newer (3-4 years) property, whereas Madikeri is about 12 years old, only 35 kms apart. The age is not the point here. The style of each and what is on offer is important. We stayed 5 nights at Madikeri and visited Virajpet for a survey for our next destination. Madikeri is built around nature, trees and birds. The vegetation is thick and in plenty that one feels in tune with nature right from the moment one wakes up and has a first cup of coffee in the varandah---just like in TV commercials. Total destressing. Reception area, building designs etc., has the old world charm of coorgi and kerala influences. Particularly, high wooden ceilings, solid wood pillars ,mangalorian roof tiles(almost extinct from our metros) and many other things transform you back to the old world. On the other hand, the bird concerts in the morning and evenings are just unbeliveably fabulous, if you like bird singing. Different varieties of birds continue to please you and sooth you, free of charge. This I believe is the main difference between Madikeri and Virajpet. Compared to Madikeri, virajpet is almost devoid of trees and things they go along with it. It is a modern style of construction, which may appeal to the younger and hob-nobbing generations of today. This may be also kind of separates the kind of people visiting these two different facilities. People visiting Madikeri are generally more down to earth type For Bombay-ites, they can visit CM Tungi, and have better experience than to go so far as Virajpet. Courtesy and politeness of the staff is exemplery. They are eager to help or engage with you. You know that saying " Customer is the King and King is always right" is not just preached but practised at all the C Mahindras I have visited. At least for once, I must admire their kitchen at Madikeri. Lovely, mouth watering dishes and huge spread, I am sure, made me gain a couple of Kgs. South Indian dishes were simply great. Despite so many positives, my rating of CM madikeri is "very good" but not" excellent". When you visit Vivanta by Taj, you know the difference in rating. But for that rating difference, one has to pay a very very pretty penny, believe me. I am happy with CM. Rooms are generally quite spacious comfortable. One bed room accommodation is more than adequet for a couple. There is nothing missing or out of place inside, and hence I am not dwelling much on it. Lastly, the best way to get there is via Mangalore(150 kms approx) and not Bangalore (300 Kms, approx). We made this mistake and paid a heavy price in tems of an 8 hour taxi ride, and very tiring one at that. Road conditions from Mangalore is as good as from Bangalore. Key is to avoid the wild traffic of Bangalore. Hope other visitors like it as much as we did. Thanks for your time to read this review. Jagdish Sanghvi

Less spacious than Virajpet. Less spacious than Virajpet.

by Tanya D on February 16, 2017

This Mahindra property is much smaller than the Virajpet property and the pool is also a kiddie pool. The property has a much nicer plantation trial but Virajpet seemed much nicer as a club. The service here was much better but we only stayed for lunch.
