The location of this hotel was interesting in that it was away from the hustle and bustle of town and in fact in a very green and quiet countryside surrounded by trees and bushes. For a change one could hear the birds twitter and nothing else. The service at the hotel was indeed personalized - they claim to be a home stay and not a hotel, because one needs to order lunch/dinner at least 3 to 4 hours in advance, but then one could literally order anything that one would like to have. The bed linen was bad and there was just a small slip of a blanket for the two of us. They were unable to provide a spare blanket. The bedsheets were frayed at the corners and need to be badly replaced. The staff were friendly and cheerful. We had a very early checkout - 5am - and were sure there would be no hot water for a bath, but they made sure that the hot water was indeed available. In fact they even threw in a free wash for my car. Overall it was a satisfying experience and wouldn't mind going and staying there again.
Coorg Hallimane is a nice place if you are on leisure trip. The entire resort is developed on the unique theme of the Coorgy Village Life. Halli Mane I suppose means Red House. Staying here is like staying in rustic idyllic place. The rooms, as you can see from the pictures, are made from wood. Those things which are not wooden, are made such that they look wooden. There is a main building which comprises of 8 rooms followed by a few cottages in the rear side. There is a swimming pool, rain dance facility and garden. Kids enjoy the rabbits and parrots in the garden. Although it is not difficult to locate this place but the signboards are not enough. We knew that it is adjacent to Veerbhoomi therefore we went following Veerbhumi's sign boards which are many. Rooms are airy, with TV dining table and clean bathrooms. However power supply is a problem consequently water. They have generator back-up but the switching is manual which takes some time. In our case that lead to another problem of interruption in water supply, which was pretty long. They have enough parking in form of an open plot. There is a resident in charge and enough boys to look after. But it is a kind of home stay so do not expect service like hotel. You will have good number of food options but you need to inform them well in advance. Boys and the in charge give you their numbers and also respond. The owner himself comes to the hotel in first half with days supplies and if the guests talks he responds nicely. Just a small problem, Coorg is not as such a very great place. If you are living around there or travelling to Karnataka you can add Coorg as destination, but traveling long distances just for Coorg is not recommended. Overall, the hotels in Coorg are over-priced, including this.
I am Unhappy with the Hotel. Hope with this remarks they are able to improve it .
We had difficult time to findout the location because of very interior. After search we finally landing up at the hotel. But the good thing about the location is that the hotel located in a natural and green. The road on which the hotel is located is very narrow and full of mud. Parking: The Hotel had covered parking just in front of its receiption. Location: The hotel is in a remote and very interior location to reach near city. A reasonably good view of nature and beautiful hill view. Rooms with natural design They had some small games. The staff was reasonably helpful. We booked double room with an extra bed and when we reached the hotel at 3:30 pm, the room was small, after discussion they have provided another room to accomatate my kids. The person at the reception gave us some good advice on planning for the sightseeing to our driver The Room: We got rooms with good views both side. The room was small but neat and comfortable. The linen was clean, taps and flush were working. The bathroom was OK and reasonably clean. Food & Room Service: Food was very good. Service was nice but immediate food supply was not possible because of they cook after we order. Overall: On the whole, the hotel is a good cottage type and seems to be high rent compare to other hotels where we stayed.

room was clean and good enough with basic amenities...no cupboards but has a space to keep luggague in the tv unit..., 1 /2 items in the veg menu were lil spicy otherwise food was good loaded with fresh green s and veggies.. few more rooms are being added for the larger family stay.. the gardens are a treat to watch.-ginger plantation, flower gardens etc.. swimming pool fr kids is definitely a plus fr kids.
Wonderful place for kids and those who want to be kids....!! Located in a serene village atmosphere, this Resort is activity based. Water slides to swimming pool are really fantastic to spend time with family and kids, also rain dance with music makes us to forget our age. Evenings DJ music with bonfire in terracotta ambience will take you to ancient time... Rooms are clean and interiors are unbelievably done in an artistic way with jungle woods...! ethnic breakfast and dinner is simply delicious. Manager, Mr. Nagendra is very cooperative and helped us in Kitchenette to prepare baby food for our infant. Dont miss this place if you are young and energetic....Check new Photos..
I visited this property on a confirmed reservation through Yatra.com (a CON company), for three nights stay in a 'Family Cottage' for Rs.7000/- per night charges and stay for three adults and what I find there is no such facility 'Family Cottage' within their premises. Had to make up and spend the night in a make shift room of 9' x 9' with dummy TV, dummy set top box , dummy water heater and with no cupboards and hooks for the clothes to hang and the room being on top of the kitchen. bad food and con management along with the travel company Yatra.com
We travelled to Coorg from Pune on 20th of May and stayed at this place for 3 Nights. The place is very basic than what they are charging and not very well maintained. We had booked 2 rooms and even if the resort had not much occupancy they gave us 2 backside rooms.. After insisting on front side rooms they gave us one room with AC and another one without AC. Again after insisting on AC room we got one room at first floor and other and Gr. Floor. There is no restaurant as such. We had a complementary breakfast and there is one cook who will prepare breakfast as per your choice. This preparation was good but very basic more of a home cook food. Room is not very clean and you have to keep calling the staff to get it clean or for the things you need in the room like Towels, Soap, Shampoo etc. There is no phone facility in the room so you need to call out services staff from here and there and then they will respond and give you what is needed. They have a Pool with a small Rain- dance and water slides which is a good and we enjoyed their for a while. But early morning the hotels staff puts a up a loud .. i should say extremely loud music at the pool side even if no one is at the pool. Although the surroundings are good due to this loud music you don't get to hear any natural sound like birds chirping etc. They need to improve massively on quality, service, housekeeping almost everywhere.
The room are not clean and too smelly. When i saw the room i felt this not good to stay especially for kids. My Experience with management we were 7+3 they gave us two rooms not big than 10X10 and charged the full charges that's per person is Rs. 2300 per person they don't count on sharing. They are not professional. The pool was not working. Please don't book online and get disappointment. Christopher Bangalore
