we found the valley view chalet and the location of resort within the Eliza coffee estate to be a perfect place for relaxation and commune with the nature. The services of resort were good except for the food. We found that food when served on a la carte was just passable and at times not good, but when served on buffet, it was fine. During our 3N/4D stay we were served only once on buffet due to low occupancy.
The staff was very courteous and always helpful , but few things can be improved.
The 2-3 Km stretch of road leading to resort is in very bad shape, also some corners of pathway from chalets to dining hall needs to be improved on safety features. If these things can be improved, it would be most lovable place to stay. Of course, I would love to stay again at Porcupine Resort.
We stayed there for 1 night
1- Nice way of integrating the independent villas with the trees.
2- Peaceful setting among the coffee estate. The Ride was winding but cam
3- Nice view of the valley
1- Food. and Timing. If you are an early eater - then you are in trouble.
2- The Restroom quality could be improved
3- Lack of Wifi for those who are always connected
A nice resort . Stayed in month of Feb 2017 in room no 101 . Excellent view from the room . All rooms have valley view. Nice sunset view can be seen from the property .
Spacious room but toilet need upgradation . Food was ok .
Went for Plantation walk which was a very nice experience . Over all nice stay .
Are you one of those who kind of get lost when in nature? Or you the kind who actually finds oneself when amidst nature? Or someone who gets super duper active and a crazy party animal when amidst nature? Or any other personality trait that comes out when in nature? Hmm...well whatever it is, you know you got yourself and you got your fun element when you in the porcupine kingdom.
The place is a beautiful place where you meet the mountains..valleys..sunrise..sunset among the plantation resort .
Overall experience: you get what you pay for ...this is the tag line for porcupine and I would like to say that the more you seek the more you will get. For adventure seeking souls, I strongly recommend the off roading with none other than vipinor brijesh..the two souls who know the place, the terrain and their very own plantation so so well. Don't forget to ask vipin to show off his off roading skills:). For the nature loving souls, just take a short walk to the family church and enjoy the scenic beauty,..don't miss the chai/coffee at the local chai shop on your way back.
The space of the resort itself is a peaceful scoop of heaven...be it he scoop of the hammock by the valley, scoop of the poolside fun, scoop of the bonfire, scoop of the walk in and around the resort as one increases opines botanical knowledge or the scoop of the three turtles who sit patiently all day posing themselves as you watch them...and how can I miss the rain gods who when oblige the 300 acre resort the entire color of the resort magnified into hues of greens and browns and reds:)
Staff and service: soft hearted staff, very responsive to your needs and queries
Food: a hearty breakfast is recommended before you go off for your day
Rooms and amenities: simple, clean rooms with all basic facilities like tea/coffee, fridge, hot water round the clock. Carry some munchies, drinks, booze, candies if your tummy needs all this ...you may miss this if this appears on your holiday list (though for us the booze wasn't missed at all)
All in all porcupine castle is a positive, 'feel good place' where there is no dull moment ever. You connect with the people you go with and above all your self. The owners as well as the staff takes utmost care of the property. Mind you, the place remains clean all the time. Kudos to the women who keep cleaning the property all the time. Whatever your purpose of the holiday, porcupine castle is recommended. Carry some games with you guys if you want to spend sometime inside the room or balcony. Reach out to the staff at the reception...they are VERY helpful and they help you with a heart, not out of a task!
Sit and bask in the shade of the fine days and cinnamon filled nights at the porcupine resort....this will surely go in one of your best holiday diaries.
SPECIAL THANKS TO VIPIN, BRIJESH..HIS WIFE....AND THE JEEP:)

The resort is built on an excellent location where we see rich plantations of coffee and black pepper. The greenery, fresh air, mesmerising panoramic view, chirping of birds are something that you'll want to feel and behold it forever.
Scrumptious food, quick service and generous hospitality of the team is highly appreciated.
I would like to thank Jagan and Bopanna for all the assistance and support they provided us throughout our stay, Sebastian for being an excellent guide, we enjoyed having a walk and talk with him.
Thank you Porcupine Castle and the team for making our stay memorable!!!
