It was wow experience for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place is well kept and its far hustle bustle of the city yet one get to city very quickly. We were travelling with kid and staff ensured that all food requirements for the kid is handled well. I must mention about the food. It was just awesome yet healthy. Surely Recommended !!!
Silver Brook Estate Homestay was a wow experience for us five people right from the ambiance, route, contact and ready access to the place midst mother nature. courtesy staff ready to help round the clock. children felt quite safe. Love to visit and stay again. They may have to work little more on food otherwise beautiful.
A good and comfortable place to relax from hustle bustle of city life. Best service and hospitality I have ever experience. Yugesh & Revathi and whole of their staff make sure that the stay is comfortable. Food is good and fresh. Only thing is the location is remote and it becomes difficult in night as approach roads are in bad shape. Will definitely recommend if one is planning to have relaxing experience.
The story of silverbrook is a wonderful and extremely detailed one. We got a glimpse of it . My mother and me needed a healing environment. This place and the people here played a big role in this healing process. The places we went to, the environment of the place we stayed in, the food that we got, the travel support we were given all was really good. The pleasant sound of the silverbrook stream ,the variety of flowers, leaves, hot cups of home-made coffee , the night star gazing, constellation spotting just outside the verandah and the old fighter plane led to a really nice experience.
I stayed in the basic room for one night with my mother. Pros: Amazing quiet location with lush greenery and gurgling streams reminded me of Enid Blyton novels. You can spend time looking at the plants and birds from the outside porch. The stars in the sky at night, you can see every constellation you have ever read about. The cacophony of birds in the morning was magical. The dinner was amazing- Hot Phulka on ur plate ! The wheat halwa was mouthwatering. Lots of vegetarian choices. I could live there just for the food. The staff goes out of the way to help you. Cons: The location is quiet remote and approach difficult(much more than expected). No one briefs you about the place/things to do on arrival. The room was really tiny, no place to keep luggage or hang cloths. The toilet was extremely low and my mom found it difficult to use. Dim lights and cold at night. The room is not senior friendly. The cleanliness in the room was subpar. The blankets, towel and pillow cover were old and discolored. Overall the staff were disorganized and haphazard, seemed like they needed someone to oversee and provide guidance. Did not meet the owners during our stay. Lots of difference in the price of room between booking directly through them vs when you book on travel app(learnt this during my conversations with other guests). Lastly the basic room are attached to each other just separated by a door. Thankfully no one stayed in the room next door that night so we could sleep. So go for the higher category. Overall for the price, the room was a disappointment. The peaceful location, outside seating area and food made up for it. The beautifully done place needs some care from owners, leaving it to a group of untrained staff may ruin it soon. Will look for another place to stay near Madikeri next time.
