Our stay at The Woshully bungalow, Pollibetta was wonderfully relaxing. The bungalow is nestled within the Tata coffee estate and has a complete old-world charm. Even the furniture is antique and adds to the colonial ambience. We were welcomed cordially and our stay was made especially comfortable by the warm hospitality of Sampath and chef Dharma, who dished out some really tasty homely delicacies. Watching the sun rise on the coffee estate from the bungalow was a delight ! In terms of activies, the nature and bird- watching walk on the golf course and the coffee plantation tour were really enjoyable. The danger of wild elephants roaming the coffee estates added to the excitement! No-one dares to venture out alone after sunset. The only thing missing was mosquito mesh in the bedrooms, which is needed since there are quite a few of them. A lovely place for a quiet family getaway close to nature.
The Surgi Bungalow is an independent bungalow in the midst of the coffee estates. It is more accessible than the other properties - that is both a benefit and a disadvantage depending on what you want. We stayed at the Surgi Bungalow for 3 nights. The food & service from Chef Ravi & Krishna was excellent and made our stay memorable. However, I think there is a lot of work to be done to improve on the accomodation. While you do get a homely estate feel, given the expensive pricing, the beds, bathroom and linen must be improved urgently. If you are paying as much as a 5 star hotel, its natural that the basic amenities match up. The rooms are dark and the linen extremely poor. The food, service & coffee plantation made our holiday special, the accomodation was a bit of a spoiler though.
Pros Clean rooms, very helpful staff, amazing property, super location with coffee plantations all around. Lot of activities within the property. Cons: Average Veg food Just go there and relax and be with mother nature.
This luxury home has hard wood flooring and huge rooms which I've missed about hotels. It is also surrounded by natural beauty and has a very hospitable staff. The best part of these cottages are that they are over 140 years old and were constructed by British and the contemporary architecture speaks volumes.
we choose this place for its legacy as it was around 150 year old banglow. very nicely mantained. and there is no words for staff they gives you full attention and polite. it is small banglow with only four rooms with personel cook.
