i just need to close my eyes and the property comes alive ! Aahana is one of the best properties I have cherished staying ! We felt completely refreshed after a holiday to Aahana. The layout of the property, room sizes, decor, food, hospitality and service - everything was great. A perfect place to unwind. In peak season, one should book the safari in advance to avoid disappointment.
What a gorgeous property! We had an incredible experience staying here for 3 nights and 4 days. The resort is absolutely stunning, greenery all around, delicious food and great hospitality! If you are looking to visit to spot tigers and wildlife then this isn't the place for you, best would be to stay at a forest rest house but if you are looking for luxury surrounded by nature where you can unwind and relax then this is the place to be! We stayed in a club room on the first floor overlooking the jungle, heard so many animals at night and woke up to the chirping of a variety of birds! The resort itself has huge gardens, variety of trees which attract numerous birds and butterflies, trampolines and a play area for kids, superb buffet meals, very well appointed rooms with all the amenities. We were so happy with our stay here we extended it by a day. We had a great time chatting with the naturalist at the resort Mr Ramesh Barlow, he had some great stories to share! Overall it was a splendid holiday and we will definitely be back for more!
When any property brings you back for a second time....that just says 'Alot' about it...Its a fabulous place to unwind for any age group... they ve this concept to 'plant a tree' & it was great to see a sapling i planted a year back into a 6 feet tall tree Keep Growing Aahana
As photography and wildlife enthusiasts, we look for suitable destinations and Corbett seemed like the perfect jaunt for us this Diwali! We stayed at the Aahana resorts located close to Ramnagar. Flew in to Delhi via Pune and hired a self driven Zoom car to Corbett. A 6 hour drive from Delhi on a traffic free day. The resort has a beautiful ambience with lush green trees with a backdrop of the Bijrani zone of the Corbett National park. The types of trees and plants are named so if you are a botanist or have interest in plants - a delightful experience. The rooms are large and comfortable. The apartment rooms are spacious and so are the bathrooms. The villas are very private and exclusive - so if you can afford them - go for it! The all inclusive breakfast lunch and dinner spreads are awesome and leaves no room for complaint. Their organically grown vegetable is included in every meal so if you are a health freak - you can enjoy the healthy salads and vegetables offered in the buffet. The hotel helped organize the safaris to the Corbett park which was the primary purpose of our visit. We took 4 safaris to 3 zones including the Bijrani, Dhela and Jhirna zones of Corbett. We also did the Elephant safari which is a joy ride but has its own experience of fun. Feeding the elephant brought smiles to our faces. The staff of the hotel were extremely courteous and helpful adding to the joy of the visit. The naturalists in the hotel - Satyapalji, Balwant and Romeshji were friendly and chatty with us as they shared a lot of details on the nature and wildlife of the campus and the Corbett region. The movie on Corbett played in the evening on the resort is highly recommended to understand the history of the place. Do take the bird watch and nature trail trips with a binocular and suitable camera to get some fantastic views and pictures. Ask the hotel naturalists to join you to understand the various species. Corbett is not just about tigers! There were more than a 100 species of birds. There is a great variety of butterflies even within the resort. The pool and spa are well maintained and very inviting. So keep a few days in hand to rest, relax, enjoy the food, safaris, pool and spa. Time will fly by when the time spent is so good! If you enjoy nature and want a relaxed stay - do go here! Enjoy!
We went as a large family group of 12 , with folks aged 5 to 80. And every single one of us came back with big smiles on our faces. We had taken a villa. The rooms were big and well maintained with big balconies on the first floor. We could have our morning tea watching the sun rise via one balcony and then sit leisurely late evening soaking in the jungle in the dark via another. Lots of things to do for everyone including the swimming pool, trampolines, table tennis, basketball etc to buggy rides and nature walks. Best thing was the food which was consistently outstanding for all the meals we had. The staff here are always smiling and helpful. Special mention for Devendra at the restaurant. We asked for some fish to be cooked and we got it twice in 3 days ! The resort is spread over a large area and is extremely well maintained. They also have a spa though we didn't get to use it.
