Just returned from Corbett and I am dying to tell that we indeed chose a fantastic place of stay. You could not have asked for better food - quality and unlimited quantity. Rooms were big and clean. We were also provided with a decent heater which kept the room warm. The icing on the cake was sighting a tiger at Jhirna
Excellent ... GM Mr podiyal is great... Mr Vinod is super and in the kitchen area Mr IRSHAD Mr devender Mr Amit Mr pappu Mr prem r very impressive. Beside this hospitality is good.. Room service is good.. Overall management is good ...
Cleanliness and maintenance 5/5. Decor and ambience: 4.5/5, Food 5/5 , hospitality 4.5/5. Location 4/5. Near Jhirna gate. Tiger sightings least frequent there. We saw deer , birds, jackal, wild boar on the way to resort though . Good resort with volleyball field, indoor games room, clean swimming pool. Good food with fresh, clean, tasteful ingredients. Buffalo milk based paneer, dahi, raita, cream, etc. Wholesome in quality and quantity. Surprisingly Tasty non-veg preparations with suble use of fresh spuces. Clean room . Well maintained clean pool. Good housekeeping and service. Had a good elephant ride arranged by them but had to arrange our own vehicle though. Stayed at Deluxe Swiss cottage tents.
I was with a group of friends at this property.. it was beautiful.. rooms were clean and big... good amenities but I think it was a bit over priced... breakfast was good.. food was reasonable.. lovely fresh scenic place .. but I guess management should check on their prices.. cuz for the price I paid.. it was easier to get any other property equal to or better than this one.. overall good... staff is good no issues at all..
We booked a package through Makemytrip in December last year which included a stay at this resort, in their premium cottage category. From the photos, the room looked spacious and attractive, but on arrival, we found that the actual room was much more ordinary-looking. The nice bit was the porch outside where we enjoyed a little sun in the morning and played a game or two. There was a mention in the package of daily bonfires in the evening, but during our two-night stay, we had to persistently request the staff on the second night to start up the bonfire in the patch of lawn across our room. This was because there was a large group staying in the tents which are located a little away and below the cottages, and the staff was busy attending to them. Also, the group was playing really loud Punjabi music all evening which wasn't quite to our taste. However, the good things were we enjoyed the company of the neigbouring cottages' occupants who were also enjoying the bonfire, and the food, though typical fare, was freshly made and room service was prompt. The included breakfast was offered in the restaurant close to the entrance and was satisfactory, and the staff accommodated an early breakfast for us on the morning of our checkout and even packed sandwiches for the journey. However, for the price we paid, I would have liked a better room standard. The tents could possibly be worth the price due to the slightly adventurous experience, though we didn't opt for it as it was only available for one of the two nights during our stay. Overall, the property is not as beautiful as shown in the pictures and so can be misleading. The hotel should rectify this.
