I want to draw your attention towards the service provided by one of the hotels in dalhousie which i booked via travel guru.I booked 2 super deluxe rooms in hotel spring in dalhousie from12th june till 15th june 2014 for a total amount of INR: 13454.This hotels is rated as a 2 star hotel. When I reached the hotel on 12th june at around 11:45 am i was shocked to see the condition of the hotel and its premises.The hotel premises was piled up with all the rubbish and bin material.The sofas in the reception were so dirty and even the sofa covers were all scattered as if some one had a fight.I booked this hotel in advance and me and my family members were expecting that by the time we checkin at around 12 noon on 12th of june ours rooms should be all set and in a ready to move in state.I enquired about the this from the hotel incharge, he told that�agar aap itne jaldi aaoge to aisa he milega, you should have come at around 12noon not at 11:45am.I told him that I will wait for next 20 minutes in the lobby and till that time they can get the rooms cleaned and ready.But this was not the case, they were running short od manpower and it took 45 minutes from him to get both the rooms cleaned. I specially mentioned in the comments section while booking that no compromise on cleanliness of the rooms and specially the toilets.The rooms conditions were pathetic and the toilets were really dirty.When I complained about this to the incharge , he told that you are the only person who is complaining about this else none has complained earlier.After lot of argument we finally got a different room set, which were equally no good.I am attaching the photographs of the rooms where we were made to stay.The basic rooms facilities were not provided.Kindly check for the following in the attached Photographs 1.The phone connections were cut off and each time we have to go downstairs to order 2.The condition of the bedsheets were as if someone has spilled pan on it. 3.The lights were all broken,there was no light in the room lobby which could have been used as a night lamp. 4.There was no power socket in which we could have charged our mobiles. 5.The rooms were stinking 6To make the matter worst, there was some construction work going on in the hotel and they took the light connection from one of our booked rooms.This actually intruded our privacy. The hotel incharge was not ready to take any kind of feedback and was very shrewd To me it was a total waste of money,it was more of a dharamshala,no one would like to stay in this hotel for free. This is certainly not a 2 star hotel but a dharamshala,who are charging too high for pathetic services and infrastructure. I feel totally cheated and instead of booking via travel guru, I could have easily got a better deal by getting a hotel after reaching there. Do you think is it justified to pay the service tax for this kind of service they provided.I would like you to intervene and get some of my amount reimbursed as it was a total inhuman conditions we were subjected to.

The hotel wall ceiling was really bad. there was leakage in the walls. The bathrooms were pathetic. Service was good but the building is really Old, Need Repair. The rooms were stinky. Not to live For.

nice view from in side the room and budget hotel everything is best hotel staff and manager rooms are good toilet are clean for a couple its good and view from this hotel are aswm but its a long distance from market. and hotels food are too costly

We tried a number of places in Dalhousie, but prices were remarkably high for what was on offer. We tried the Hotel Spring and were asked a reasonable amount, and got a large double room and car parking . It was in November, and they gave us a heater. The hotel has a very open aspect with great views, lots of sun, and a large terrace. Their restaurant was not really in use at this time of year. But if you step across the road there are 2 more expensive hotels and we just went in there and used their restaurant. Hotel is above Ghandi Chowk , but within walking distance.

Service is really slow, after ordering we have to wait for around an hour. The staff is unprofessional but OK. The food was bad. And when we got to the market the people took out the lock of our room's gate and the room was open all the time we weren't there. When we asked that the room was open without our permission they said nothing is misplaced we have cameras all around. And after that we checked out the next day because the hotel was unable to Install a new lock on the door.

I stayed at this hotel from 24 to 25 March 2016. Location is good, hotel has a huge terrace offering good views of the valley and mountains. BUT....condition of rooms is pretty bad. No cleanliness. All shabby work done. No toilet paper or roll was provided. No soap was provided in bathroom. Set top box was hanging, dirty cupboard. Furniture work was shabby. Only 1 tub elight in the whole room. The bowls in which daal was served was dirty. They say wifi is available, b ut it is only in reception area (which is very small area). In general, not recommended unless you do not get any better hotel. Not worth for the money they charge.

Totally waste of money. No professionally staff. Very old construction. Extra charge 200% or 300% than original prize. Waiter tip like extra charge.. You must pay them for service with decided minimum value par head. Never go again and request to other don't waste money.
