It was an excellent one night stay. The room was comfortable and bed was quite royal. The cleanliness was maintained to the perfection. The staff was alert but the location was not so inconvenient for us.

The restaurant serves only vegetarian, apart from which this was a decent stay. My room was well maintained, the room service were brisk too. This is an average property.

We had a fabulous time in this hotel. The room we stayed was spacious and clean.The service provided by the staff was wonderful. We had breakfast in the hotel, it was delightful in taste. It is highly recommendable hotel.

I stayed there for a day only but I didn't noticed any inconvenience in the service. The room was bit shabby and furniture was also outdated but apart from that everything else was comfortable. Location was fantastic. It was a recommendable place for short stay.

Firstly, there is no sea view as depicted in the pictures. The hotel claims to be the only vegetarian hotel in Daman. So it is a Go To place for vegetarians. The food is really good. Really liked the buffet breakfast. They also have 24 hours room service with no extra cost. The property is very small with no garden or pool. But it makes up by providing all amenities in the room that you can think of and providing good service. All in all, it is a good value for money as they offer a lot for a budget hotel.

Had to spend a night in Daman as a stopover. As usual choose reviews from Make My trip. Zeroed on Hotel Sovereign. Check in was quick. Room was great for the amount paid. Food was excellent. Staff courteous. Wifi had to improve. Toiletries in place. Quick check out.

The location of the hotel is good, which is only 2 minutes away from the beach. You don't get a sea view from any of the room but you can get it from the corridor outside Sea Face room. The room was decent enough for a night with a fridge, TV & AC. We didn't book it online and cracked a deal with the receptionist when we arrived there (it was a Sunday night so I guess it was not-so-busy time for them). They offered 2 free bottles of water with the room. The room, linen and bathroom were clean and met our expectations. The AC kept acting weird in the night though. It would switch off automatically at intervals waking us up. The remote control for it wasn't working properly either, making it even more painful to change any settings. The hot water was 24x7 available (I used it myself a couple of times in the night) and the good part was it was available even in the wash basin, which is unusual in Indian hotels. The food was not up to the mark. Our stay included buffet breakfast and we also had dinner in their restaurant the previous night. The poha in the breakfast was dry and so was Idli. The only edible items were dosa, shira and some Irani puff, not worth the money (approx. Rs. 130 per person). Even the food in dinner was not up to the mark. They were advertising sizzlers festival and so we tried one. The vegetables were half cooked, the gravy had only one taste - sour and it was delivered in very small quantity. The staff was certainly untrained as we asked a waiter to arrange a coil or something for mosquitoes at dinner time and he bluntly replied that they can't do anything. However, they later arranged for some liquid electric repellent, which didn't make much of a difference. Even in the morning, when we were waiting for a table to be cleaned for our breakfast the cleaning person only took away the used plates and moved to another table. When we asked him to clean the table, he barely moved his cloth around, throwing the leftover food on the floor and leaving some food and stains on the table itself. Apart from these incidents, we didn't have any trouble with the staff. Yes, they are a bit slow, but we have observed it at other places outside Mumbai and are used to it now. Overall I found it average except for the AC trouble in the night. They also offer a Paint house which is totally not worth it. The room is the same size as the sea face one. The only difference is this one is the only room on that floor whereas sea face ones are 3 rooms on one floor and has a private balcony which is kind of stupid. As they have a sea view from the common corridor outside the paint house and the balcony is on opposite side with no view at all. In fact, they have built a wall around it to avoid the view of rooftops of houses which really is a shame. Only if they had made the balcony on the other side with open sea view, it would have been worth it. Avoid deluxe rooms as they are on ground floor and are on both sides of a corridor leading to the lift (every time people walk to the lift, you may get disturbed). It is designed in a really stupid way where you have to walk by all the rooms on ground floor to get to the lift, there is no access directly to the breakfast area on the first floor via lift and off course the legendary paint house! Don't take plans with all meals, the food is not so good. Oh and one more thing, don't park your car in their private parking if you want to go out late at night or early morning. The praking area is locked in night and the person comes only at 8 in morning to open it.

I had a chance to visit this place with family friends for a dinner. We prefer this hotel as most of our group members are vegetarians . This hotel is part of hotel Gurukripa restaurant. Gurukripa serves non veg food, while sovereign serves pure veg food Hotel is located in prime location and most of the tourist locations are located near by this hotel. We have told the waiter that we require less spicy food. But to our surprise most of the food that we ordered turned out to be very spicy. Also the service level of this hotel is pathetic. If you are just looking for vegetarian food, I would recommend you to try some other hotel in daman

Just due to good breakfast quality , I cannot give a 4 star on this review. The most important part of any stay is the quality of Bed... We checked out today and my back is still in pain.... I have stayed in so many gods hotel and budget hotel but this is worst. Quality of furniture, quality of linen worst. Wifi is charged but never worked.. Never go for Gujarati thali... taste less vegetable.. good khichadi and kadhi Not recommended by Me.... Regards Tarun Samvedi Virar Mumbai
