Stayed at the Sandy Resort, Daman over a March weekend and had a very good and comfortable stay.
Have been to Daman several time but this was the first time we stayed at Sandy. The resort is located last in line of the several resorts that line Devka Beach and a nice place with the rooms set away from the road ensuring a quite stay.
Reservations were done online and were very quick and effortless. Price was very competitive. Rooms and amenities are basic but clean and well maintained. Lenin, beds and bathrooms were also clean and hygienic.
What really stood out was the service from the front desk and the waiters which was very good.
Only fly in the ointment was that the WiFi is not complimentary and was still of very poor quality and signal strength.
Would surely consider staying here again and though i would have given a 4 star - but for the price charged I think it was very good value for money and hence have rated 5 stars.
Spacious with some room of improvement

The room was spacious and clean. Same goes for the bathroom. However, the furniture seems to be old and could use some renovation.
There is a good play area in the garden. Food is decent with less variety for vegetarians.

Stayed for two nights, room is normal, big enough, restaurant food is not good but there are enough choices outside, due to the black sand in the beaches, requirements like beach side resorts are really irrelevant, having a car will be handy.
More than resort I liked the old town streets, architecture near the bom jesus church. Less crowded place.
Away from work on week ends and overall it was an relaxing stay

As we were booked here by someone else, we was not sure what to expect.
Room (& toilet), we stayed at, was not really up to the mark, but I guess it matched the price level.
Pool and the surrounding area was pretty good.
Was surprised to see that they did not have the provision of buffet breakfast, which, in my view, is a must for such a resort.

I recommend "SANDY RESORT, DAMAN"
We decided to drove to Daman while returning from Saputara. While searching for a stay in Daman on various sites came to know about Sandy Resort on Devka Beach road. After reaching DAMAN went to the place and booked four rooms (Eight people). We got a Rs.700/- food voucher per room after checking in.
The resort is located a few minutes further away than other other resorts towards Gujarat. The resort is very quiet and close to the beach with very spacious parking area. They also provided a stay for our driver without any charges (food was chargeable).
The resort also has a large garden area. There is a clean swimming pool with changing rooms and showers.
We opted for the A/C Super Deluxe Rooms which in my opinion was smaller to my expectations. Bathrooms were not very good and we're not very bad either.
I would especially like to mention about food which was really of very good quality and great taste. We had a great dinner and breakfast there, which were above expectations. I would like to thank the management for maintaining the quality of food.
I could not remember any other thing which I could say was bad.
I would overall recommend this property for the swimming pool and peaceful ambience.
My only suggestion is that the management should pay attention for proper maintenance of the rooms.
Ground floor rooms have more surface area from inside.Upper floor rooms have open sitting area but less surface area in room

Executive rooms are in one corner, if you want to stay away from little noise then choose 1st floor. Otherwise Standard rooms are also good
