Very good property...awesome food and hospitality...Deltin was our only saving grace in other very boring and dull place Daman.. It is very lavish property and has nice entertainment programs in the evening...we really had a nice time there this Christmas
Though the name suggests casino, Deltin, Daman doesn't have casino for obvious reasons. This hotel is a bit off the touristy places. Beach is far away. We were a group with 6 adults and 2 kids staying in 3 rooms. AC in one room was not working and hotel authority had given another room. Unlucky us, AC in that room was also not so powerful (compared to other rooms). The kettle was not working in the room. Other than these hiccups, our weekend stay was enjoyable. Breakfast buffet had good spread.
' The Deltin 'at Daman is a
nice venue for corporate and destination weddings .
A typical 4* property with the regular requisites like restaurants, spa, gym , game room and poolside , their upcoming casino being the main focus of attraction
On entering the lobby you feel you are in the house of cards, and you their token !
Rooms were clean but had mosquitoes and the bath towels seemed clean but was infact used by the previous guest and folded back in place was what i felt.
The toiletries too were not fresh , so becareful here.
Staff and service no complaints but their security at entry and exits though appreciated can be quite annoying.
The breakfast buffets at 'Vegas ' were not lavish and upholstery pretty much in need of an uplift.
A nice getaway for anyone looking out to only relax and chill as not much of entertainment there, yet. So kids may have limited fun. However, make sure they dont have a wedding matching your dates or be prepared for total chaos from the moment you step into their lobby starting from delayed check ins to crowded visuals of poolside party and blasting music with no considerations for other guests staying there.
Otherwise can be quite a peaceful getaway.
There is a veera ka dhaba at a short drive which is a nice themed restaurant with a good visual experience, food was okayish.
Another dhaba is a 5minute walk from the hotel and a good try.
A good idea to wear mosquito repellent when in daman.
There's a beach close to the hotel for outdoor lovers though not very clean.
This was my 2night experience of this hotel, hope it helps ...
I had visited this hotel on 12/02/2017 - 14/02/2017. The best part about this hotel was the food which was absolutely delicious . ambience was too cool. Hospitality was awesome specially by Zainab Khan.
I with my son, were vacationing for the weekend in Daman and staying at Sterling Resorts, when we decided to check out this highly rated property. So what could be better than enjoy a meal and a coffee and check out the facilities.
Daman is a place which is a tipplers paradise for the booze starved Gujarati folks, Gujarat is a dry state where prohibition is strictly enforced so the residents who stay close to Daman make a beeline for this town. It is also incidental that this a beach town and could have been developed as a tourists paradise had the Government and the local authorities so desired. It is however an area which is centrally administered and controlled by New Delhi and is called a Union Territory. It is also a tax free area where the central government gives lots of concessions and subsidies for establishing industries there.
Having said that, Deltin group has some casinos in Goa and they were sure that they would be able to swing a license for this property also. Alas, this license has, to my knowledge, not come in. Certainly, it had not come in when I visited this hotel. Therefore, this hotel remains in perpetual readiness for the anticipated grant of that magic piece of paper, allowing them to commence casino operations. I wish them luck on that score. Certainly, well heeled Indians will have one more option to satiate their gambling instincts.
The lunch that we ate was sumptuous and the serving size was large. However, the restaurant had barely two or three tables occupied and the waiters it seemed were happy to see some guests. the prices as expected were on the higher side given the fact that this is a luxury upper end hotel.
Having more time at our hand we shifted to the lobby for a coffee. Like the earlier experience with the food, it was a similar experience. Good coffee. Large mug. Cookies on the side with compliments of the management, but no guests. I wonder how long will the management be able to continue to afford the cost of running this gigantic establishment, sparkling floors and toilets, manicured lawns but, such few guests. Anyway, my best wishes to them once again.
