It was an awesome experience which was a combination of 360 degree perfect things such as Service, Ambience, Food, Cleanliness, Rooms, Facilities etc. Exotic management has taken special personal care to maintain the quality of their offerings very well. The place this property is situated has got surely some positive energy in itself, it's quiet and serene. As we had booked both kind of rooms i.e. Deluxe room and Russian Wood Cottage in order to get the feel of both, these were distinct in their own nature. One should definitely opt for Russian Wood Cottage whilst staying here. Each of their rooms have a private balcony where one can have the best of leisure. Their restaurant serves lip smacking breakfast and they are very punctual. Lunch and dinner orders are taken in advance and they prepare made to order delicious homely food. One should not miss variety of seafood. I would urge the owners and management to maintain the same offerings and would like to wish them all the very best.
I have just experienced perhaps one of the best trips ever with my closest friends as we brought in 2017 at this wonderful place. It is 10 on 10 straight up. Its positives come all the way from its owner, Rahul, an absolute gentleman with humility to match. He along with all his team made us feel at home straight away. Once we started discovering the property we realised that this was just the kind of place where one occasionally dreams to retire for life. The endless greenery around could only be rivalled by the limitless stars above at night as you hang with your friends on the large terrace over a drink and live barbecue with your music or sheer silence. There are these three little cabana like warm and cozy tents as well thoughtfully installed on the terrace for a comfortable snooze. As far as the food was concerned we realised very early that it was a grave mistake to even consider having any of our meals elsewhere. It was simple, consistently fresh and delicious, the kind you will wish for when even at the faintest thought of it. Just as it is teasing me right now. Probably the magic was in the perpetual motherly smile of the young talented chef, Jitu, who goes out of his way to please your palate with food best described as 'Ghar ka khana'. Our rooms were quite spacious, comfortable and humble with large balconies where we spent a considerable part of our trip over conversations, drinks, music or just gazing away into the greens while sipping on their delightful ginger tea. For more dynamic activities you can spend endless hours in their games room showing off your forgotten skills with Table tennis, Pool or the humble Carrom. I never knew even being thrashed in all the games by my friend, Vicky could be so much fun. If you wish to venture out there are a few old temples nearby. Else there are a few beaches within 30-60 minutes of driving time. We had gone out for Dolphin spotting at Murud beach one morning and I must confess that we were thrilled way beyond our expectations. Overall Dapoli was a marvellous experience centred around Exotic Home Stay. It would also be a perfect stop over for a day or more for road trippers like us on our future coastal trips to Goa or further south. If you notice almost all the other reviews about this place are consistently in sync with each other which speaks volumes about this beautiful and quaint getaway. Thanks a bunch to all you lovely people for making it so special for us. Rahul, Jitu, Pravin and the rest, we shall be back soon. And of course big hugs for my buddies on this trip, Reshma, Supreet and Vicky. Cheers :)
Exotic home stay seems to be more of a cross over between a resort and a pure home stay. It's got characteristics of both. In terms of facilities and rooms, it's more like a resort, but in terms of food and service it's more like a home stay. As regards the location, the place is a bit off the Dapoli town, may be around 7 km. Relatively closer to the beaches - the Ladgadh beach is the closest at around 10 km. Murud beach is around 15km. Within half hour drive. The other attractions are Unhavare hot springs and Panhalekaji caves which are around 35 km. The roads leading to the latter are barely motorable, so would advise hiring a 4x4 or some sturdy vehicle if one wants to visit. Coming back to the resort, it offers both Russian wooden cottages and family suites. We stayed in the former one night and in the latter the other night. So we experienced both. Both are good, but the latter was more comfortable in terms of space, washrooms, bed comfort and overall sleep quality. Food is traditional Maharashtrian Thali for lunch and dinner, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Variety is limited. If you want something different, you have to order specifically and get it done. Food was tasty. However, breakfast options are pretty basic and nothing great to write home about. On the service part, staff were extremely helpful and courteous which was a quite pleasant experience. The entertainment facilities available is limited to a play area with pool table, table tennis, carrom etc. Gym is available, but it has fallen into disuse with material being stacked inside. Swimming pool is under construction. So there is nothing much to do in the resort in terms of activities as such. Please expect to laze around and relax once you are there. Overall maintenance and upkeep of resort seems to be a bit lacking. They could do a bit more to spruce up the place and make it look better.
Exotic home stay is a nice place to stay. Its quite and serene. Rooms are quite big and all rooms have a nice view without compromising on privacy of each room. Staff is very good and courteous. My family really enjoyed the stay.
We went with my family around 3 weeks back and stayed in russian cottage. Firstly, as the name suggest this place is not a 'HomeStay' that is no family resides at this place. This was a disappointing factor for me since I was hoping local food options which usually homestays have. They had a fixed thali options ( fish, chicked, veg) which tasted fine but expensive ( 400 rs ). Other than that, its a nice and clean place surrounded by hills!
