Hotel Was good and over all experience was nice. Staff is co-operative and food is also nice.
Well it is said that the first impression is the last and that's what happened. As we took bus to reach this place and didn't carry our own vehicle, we thought that we will reach this place by their regular check in time but instead we reached much earlier at around 5 a.m. but we were welcomed without any hesitation. Well this place though a bit far from the beach has it's own charm. You will wake up to the morning with the birds chirping and can enjoy a lazy cup of tea at the sit out which is given to every room be it lilian or Mangolia. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the ambiance and the decor was tastefully done. The cottages are surrounded by trees and flowers of almost every variety. The staff was very warm and friendly and I actually mean it as I found them personally assisting every guest and that too with warmth and smile. Not to forget the food served was delicious and was served with affection. All in all I would say that you should absolutely visit this place even if you are not a beach lover because you can simply come here and relax and feel like not going back as we did. Keep it up guys.

I am very pleased to put my views on Fern Samali Resort. Here are five reasons why you must visit this place. Superb Architecture - Class one housekeeping Services - Polite and helpful staff - Food is of good quality and test. Awesome breakfast. If you compare rates with other resort (Beach Side resorts or 3 star Hotels in Dapoli), it is worth to pay for this 5 star service. Anand
We visited this place for the first time but family like the place even the rooms have good screen out side dam good place even the hospitality is up to the mark round the clock the food is just mind blowing just lick my fingers its dam tasty we all enjoyed our stay and sure to come back when ever possible
Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished Lao Tzu You will realize that the above quote is apt as soon as you enter Fern samali, Dapoli. Time pauses , you feel a soothing & relaxing aura surrounding you. The ambience is really good, it is rich in aesthetics. As soon as you enter, you realise that you will have a good time here. (Usually, Fern group properties are decent) We stayed in the Tulip section. Observations and experience : 1. Rooms : Very spacious and nice , cottages are even better but for larger groups perhaps. The amenities given in the room are all in working condition. One of the bathrobe in the room was unclean and was replaced immediately. The mini bar was empty, which did not make a difference but I was expecting some stuff in it. I would also suggest to add some varieties of tea and green tea in the tray. There is no bath tub in this series of rooms at least. The balcony has a table, 2 chairs and a swing. It is quite spacious. The view from the upper floors is better, you get a valley view. The fragrance of the liquid toiletries is very soothing. The room service was prompt & the staff was very polite and welcoming. We checked out at 10 am and returned for lunch and were allotted a room specially for change before heading for Khed station. (Rating : 4/5) 2. Restaurant : At the onset I would like to compliment Mr.Satyendra (pardon me if I spelt that wrong) the manager and his team. The staff was 50% short of the usual strength due to holi, but still they managed it well. There were few delays in the service but it is understood in this scenario. The GM also aplogised for the same when our dish was delayed and he personally accomapanied the waiter when that dish was served even though we didnt complain, Thus, it was a very good gesture on his behalf. My 2 year old daughter enjoyed a lot here. Mr. Satyendra was very warm and courteous throughout. Special compliments for him. ____________________________________________________________________ The only disappointing aspect was the breakfast. The menu spread could be of more variety. There could be more varieties in dessert section for ala carte also. Please do look into it. I would also suggest the Managerial team to provide training in serving of dishes i.e few times the server served my dish and after 10 minutes or so served my companion, same for drinks which is not comfortable. Cocktails were not available and i would've enjoyed if the bar was open. Favorite dishes in ala carte : Chicken grill in International menu, fish/chicken malvani with steamed basmati rice and solkadi, prawn sizzler and chicken popcorn. Buffet spread is also decent. (Rating : 4.5/5) 3. Spa and swimming pool : We so very much wanted to experience the spa facility but could not as we were not told that the spa doesnt function on sat and sun evenings, which is really weird because it should ideally operate on the weekends. Secondly, the official timing of the spa is 8 am to 8 pm. When we requested an appointment for the 8 am slot, the representative there told us that they open the spa at 8 am but then they have their breakfast and all, so they can start their operations by 11 am only, which I think is not professional, either start at 8 am sharp or mention the timing as 11am in the spa menu. If they would have told us that at 8 am you could get the service, then we could've availed it on sunday morning. The swimming pool is small, not that impressive. 4. Outdoor : There is a play area for kids. Nice bench locations, a mini Amphitheatre, lot of area to walk or cycle. They provide cycles to roam around there property. What I found unique was the info that they gave for each tree planted. The statues of animals kept there was really very attractive. This property also has a historical significance dating back to the 19th century during the british era. (Rating : 5/5) I would also suggest the Samali team to keep 2 wheelers for rent. Im sure it would work for couples and teenagers. If you want to rent a rickshaw or a driver for your own vehicle ask for VIHAR at the reception. He drove us around for 2 days and has a very good knowledge of the surroundings and is a good human and guide. Will I visit this property again, YES!... expecting very few changes though. Will I recommend this property to you MOST DEFINITELY!! This is Vajresh signing off!
I visited this resort in early January and found it very pleasant. The location is a bit far from the beach and is on top of a hill offering a great view of the surroundings. The resort facility is very well developed and well maintained. There are animal replicas in the public areas and kids have a great time. The restaurant serves good food and breakfast is quite sumptuous. The swimming pool is small but clean. The staff is very friendly and showed us around the resort. The kids activity area was quite impressive, equipped with a small library, colouring material and games. Kids were very happy. There are table tennis and pool tables for adults too. In the main area there is a signboard indicating there was a British watch post on this exact location, from where British officers were able to keep a watch on surrounding areas as well as the coastline. There is also a statue of a British officer mounted on a horse. Overall a very pleasant experience if you are looking for some quiet time with yourself but do be aware that the beach is not close by.
We visited The Fern Samali last year on a special occasion of Marriage Anniversary and to my surprise it turned out to be a super hospitality in a small town of Dapoli.I am do visit Dapoli once/twice a year and just love this place and this time we decided to make the day more special by staying in The Fern Samali resort. Mr Basudev - GM of the resort is just amazing personality and he ensures that the guests are treated to best and takes personal care of special occasions.Basudev arranged a projector and big screen in resort to ensure we don't miss IND Vs Pak cricket match and special snacks added more fun. Resort rooms are huge and have super view with good swimming and spa facilities.Restaurant is nice and food quality is excellent. Special feature of rooms is the Terrance balcony where a wooden swing creates more fun with traditional wooden sofa. Housekeeping staff is cooperative. Local Konkani dance was also an attraction in Ampi theater ; which one can watch while having dinner. Resort is eco friendly and open bathrooms make it different than other resorts. All in all a lovely property to enjoy the vacations with family and friends. You have nearby beach of Ladhghar which one can visit in morning and evening time as well for sunset. In the evening time you can visit Shri Gajanan Maharaj temple while coming back from Murud or Harne beaches. Must visit is Kadyavarcha Ganpati. Awaiting for my next visit to The Fern Samali Cheers Abhishek
