Super Deluxe Room
We heard very good reviews about the hotel. They were so good that we started doubting the reviews before booking but they were all true. thankfully :). Hotel is located at prime location. Rooms were very good ( we were given super deluxe rooms for the prize of deluxe ones :D). The staff is very friendly and always helping. They never said no to any of our requests. View from top of hotel is very good. The only thing about hotel is that you have to go through a lot of stairs before reaching it but its worth it.
No continuous hot water suplly. Poor room services. No dining facilities. While many hotels don't charge extra for room heater, they charged for it. Closer to the Mall, but many rooms are not view facing.
Everything was average but service was really poor, hot water was a big problem.
It was an great experience for short stay. We enjoyed a lot. We had our meals in the hotel restaurant, which was complementary. Recommended to all average budget traveler.
Rooms were very clean and tidy. Hospitality was great overall.

A great place to stay at moderate tariff. The Deluxe Rooms on the road side are great from where one can see Kanchenjunga. Of course in the winter season, when the sky remains clear and without fog. Foods are awesome.
I hesitate to tell the entire truth about this place, because I intend to go back there someday soon and don't want to find it booked out! The hotel is clean and lovely, with amazing Himalayan views, wonderful cozy rooms, bargain rates, an excellent little restaurant, superb breakfasts, and above all, a warm, friendly welcome from the owner/operators.
I stayed at the Dekeling with a best friend, we thought the hotel was very good and we loved our stay there. The staff were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Darjeeling. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The highlight for us was the lounge area with relaxing seating a fantastic wood burning heater that heated the lounge with amazing views over the town and on a clear day to Mount Kanchenjunga that just makes this a cool relaxing place to spend time. There are a few steps to reach the hotel but you probably need walking legs to get the best out of Darjeeling anyway. The breakfast could have been a little better but I note from the other reviews that the food has been complemented and work was going on with the Restaurant, so hopefully people can ignore this small criticism from us and go by the positive food reviews by others.
The hotel is lovely, with stunning views and a very helpful staff. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean. However, in February, when it is very cold outside, we found the hotel and our room to be too cold. This wasn't a problem for sleeping, since the bed was so cozy and the hot water bottles they provide seem to stay hot all night. I heard they have rooms with heating, but I'm not certain of this. But, all in all, a very good option for Darjeeling, and very adequately priced. The breakfast seemed excellent, though we didn't try it.
Three of us stayed for two nights at the Dekeling. The staff are wonderful and warm and the service was excellent. The rooms are clean and comfy. There are a lot of stairs so people with mobility issues need to be aware, but then Darjeeling is pretty much all up and down too. The common room offered a lovely early morning view of Kanchenjunga. Overall great value for money and a lovely stay.
