The hotel is situated in a bylane off Nehru Road( close to the Big Ben). The climb up-to the hotel is very steep, and might be an issue for elderly people. Not all cars are allowed inside the lane (permit issues). However for young friends and travelers, it is a good exercise!! Pros: Big rooms- almost 300 sq feet, and very neatly done. Very comfortable mattress- 4 star standards, with ample blankets. You get room heaters, depending upon the kind of booking you opt for. Else they'll charge you extra for heater. Extremely friendly staff, well groomed, professional and prompt to attend to any needs. Though food is vegetarian, it is tasty and freshly cooked. A hard-core non-veg like me was satisfied. The room I stayed in had a great mountain view including that of Kanchejunga, I'd recommend guests to opt for rooms in the 3rd Floor. Cons: No lift Only flash geysers are available in the toilet, and controlled by the reception. This means you have to call up the reception, and ask for hot water to be switched on everytime you want to bathe. However the wash basins have better supply of running hot water. Reluctant to accept cards, and after lot of coaxing they did. Apparently most guests pay via cash, but remember these people have provision for card payments. Better to check out well in advance to avoid last moment delays. Limited TV channels.
